First of all, what are experiments?
Experiments are a P2P creature, available once you start Creature of Fenkenstrain (More on that later). These creatures are level 25, have 100 hp and hit occasional 1's, making them very good for training on. You can basically train here all day, and with armour you will regenerate more than they hit. Many people like using this spot because it isn't as crowded as rock crabs, and they have higher hp.
Do I need to do any quests before hand?
Yes, you need to do Priest in Peril and The Restless Ghost. Then walk to the castle, and speak to the Doctor. Start the quest, and the go upstairs and search the two bookcases, and then make a star amulet. Once you are done, go to the monument and push it, then go down to the dungeon.
Err… better quests instructions please!
- Head north-east of the Canifis slayer master towards the castle. The doctor is in the castle. Talk to the doctor and tell him that you're brain-dead and that you're good at grave digging.
- Now head back to the castle and go upstairs. Search the bookcase in a room to the west for the book Joy Of Grave Digging and you get a marble amulet, then search the bookcase in a room to the east for the Handy Maggot Avoidance Techniques and you get an obsidian amulet. Use them with each other to make a star amulet.
- Leave the castle and follow the path east to a graveyard and use your star amulet on the last memorial to the east. Push the monument to enter a dungeon.
Ok, I want to go there! What do I need?
Even though these guys are weak, they still have decent defence. I would recommend level 40+ attack and 50+ strength to train on these guys. You should gear yourself up with the best armour and weapon you can afford. I would suggest the following invent
Ok the Granite Maul is for using my specs, since I train with a scimitar. Because I only have 50 attack, I'm bringing Rune scim and G Maul. If you have 60 attack + I would suggest DDs and Dragon Scim. The runes are for teleporting. The money has no purpose, just incase I want to return to Canifis and do something there. The strength pots are for training faster, at 1k each they are pretty cheap. The 3 swordies are incase I get hurt.

It is calculated that each sip of a strength potion lasts 10 minutes. Therefore 20 strength potions should last you 13 hours and 20 minutes. If you want to find out how much exp you will earn per hour, do this simple method.
- Record how long it takes you to kill 1 experiment. (We will call this X)
- Repeat the above step, calling it Y and Z
- Find the average killing speed. This is (X+Y+Z/3). Then do (3600/[avg+4]). (The 4 is the running time). Now multiply that by 400. That's how much exp you get per hour.
- Eg. I kill X and 37 secs, Y in 35 and Z in 45. Average is approximately 36 secs. So my formula is (3600/[36+4]). This turns out to be 90 experiments per hour. I multiply this by 400, which is 36k exp per hour.
In the picture below, I'm taking my best armour and scim weapon.

I would suggest rune boots and rune gloves, but I wasn't thinking properly when I took the screenshot. You can of course bring whatever items you think is best. Just remember Bring your BEST gear.
I'm there, what do I do. Do I run around blindly?
Ok, so you are there. Now all you have to do is attack the level 25 experiments. Pretty basic. After a while you will get used to the spots and the respawns, and it will be easier and faster. Good luck and have fun!
