How to Make Money by Mining on Runescape!!!

This is part one on my three part guide for making cash on Runescape.

A Guide for New Players Pt.1

Introduction to money making

Well, to continue my guides, I have decided to come out with a guide on how to make money on F2P on RS. This guide is for new players and free players. Well, let us get started shall we?

First and foremost, let's see what you have when you come off of Tutorial Island. An axe, a net, a bronze pickaxe, a dagger, 25gp, and some bread and a bucket. Ok, you have 3 choices: Mine, Woodcut, or Fish. I'll start with mining.

Mining

Mining for ores and smelting them to bars to smith weapons and armor is a great way to make cash. But that's only if you've been doing it for a while. For new players, you will have to be patient and level up to make lots of cash. Ok, some mining spots for beginners: the mining spot near Varrok, the mining spot behind Lumbridge, and the mining spot in Falador (Dwarven Mines). I prefer the Varrok spot because it isn't overwhelming with people, there are lots of people usually, but not as much as the people in the spot near Lumbridge and there is a low risk of getting attacked by scorpions there.

When you start mining in either spot, start mining like 100 copper ore and bank them. After you do this, start mining an equal number of tin ore to the number of copper ore that you mined. Once this is all done, head down to Al Karid, and smelt the ores using the furnace. NOTE: Click the furnace and right click on the bronze bar (brown) and click on select x and type in any number above 30. After this, bank the bars in the Al Karid bank and continue smelting the ores. Once you have smelted all your ores, head up to Varrok and go to the building near the large bank with an anvil on it. I believe that if you talk to the old man there, he will provide you with a hammer. Once you have turned the bars into items, sell them at the general store up until you cannot get the maximum amount of cash for each item.

Then, change worlds or go to another general store and sell all of your wares. Repeat this process until you can make iron bars or mine iron. This is the hard part: You have a choice to make; you can either sell the iron ore or make them into bars and risk losing tons of iron. If you're really excited to make cash, then you should definitely sell the iron ore for around 100gp ea. People will buy, but if you don't get a lot of customers, go to Falador and sell them there. Eventually, by repeating this process, you can get up to 100k by selling 1000 ores. Don't worry, that goal sounds daunting but if you put your mind to it, you'll get there.

Look out for more of my guides; I'll cover woodcutting in the next one! :D

you should know that if you smith the bars they loose some of their value... so if you are trying to make money you should just sell the ores ore the bars.

ya u should keep them as bars and not turn them into anything but if u do u shouldnt sell them to the general store.you should sell it to the store that is just for teh item u have. like sell ur sheilds at a shield shop or a mace at teh mace shop. u cant really make much money at teh general store.

for low level f2p's i'd recomend cutting regular logs until u get 15 wc then chop oaks and you'll get 28 each load ( if u have a certain attack level) then its ok if u chop willows till 60 wc its takes about 1 week and 2 days from 30 to 60 wc if u only go on 30 mins a day
