This is a guide to help people to train their Ranged level on RuneScape.
1-15
From levels one to 15 you should train at the chickens in Lumbridge. They are decent experience for the low leveled player and you don't have to hide behind any obstacles to avoid taking any damage.
15-30
From levels 15 to thirty you should train on cows. Now you should be a high enough level that you don't take damage regularly. Also you can pick up their hides which sell for around 100 each at the moment to pay for arrows for future levels. If you are a lower level that 15 you can still kill them but they will be harder if you don't hide behind the fence.
30-45
For these levels you should train at the pirates south of Port Sarim. In the cave that you get the Blurite Ore in for the Knights Sword Quest. Some people would tell you that hill giants are a better option because you can sell the bones for 300 each. I have found that even though you can do that it is a very crowded place and you don't get very good xp per hour there. At the pirates it is usually empty because no one thinks of going there again after they do the quest and there are enough of them so that you don't have to wait for respawns like at the hill giants. Also another argument for the hill giants is that you can bury the bones for faster prayer experience but I have found this incorrect. Even though Big Bones give three times more xp than regular bones at the pirates you can kill them almost five times as fast as the giants.
45-??
From 45 on up I would recommend killing moss giants. Starting out you should kill them in the Varrock Sewers as you probably can't kill Elvarg the Dragon to reach Crandor Isle at the moment. Once you believe that you can kill a level 83 Dragon you should start Dragon Slayer. This is very helpful because Crandor has a safespot where you can range the level 42 hill giants without taking any damage. At higher levels you could go after the Lesser Demons on the top of the hill on Crandor. You should stay here until you become a member, get 99 Ranged or get you goal. Have fun killing!
