There's only 10 hp separating you and potential hundreds of thousands of coins! Learn how to kill them inside...
When I see a level 3 macroer, I don't see it as a filthy cheating program; but rather, I see it as 10 hp from lots of gold. If you've ever wanted to kill one of these guys, this is for you.
One time while I was shop rune merchanting (see my guide), I got bored and decided to lure a highwayman into the Falador rune shop. (More correctly, Betty's Magic Emporium). Unfortunately, the level 5 highwayman did not kill the level 3 Zzzvvv366. The sole reason for it was because Zzzvvv366 was in the shop window with Betty. I became disappointed and continued merchanting.
In one world, I noticed that there were only 270 eyes of newt instead of the usual 300. And they were going down. “That's funny, nobody ever buys those,” I thought. I closed the shop window to see the buyer, and to my surprise it was a level 3! Immediately he dashed out the open door towards the Draynor bank. I knew then that I could kill him. Again, I lured a highwayman into the shop. When the level 3 came in again, I shut the door and watched as the highwayman nearly murdered the level 3. To my dismay, Mr. Highwayman was killed. Level 3 then went to the bank again, sensing nothing wrong. I lured another highwayman into the shop and waited.
I then closed the door after the level 3 came in and he was killed instantly. Sitting on the ground was coins! I picked them up and realized that he was carrying quite a sum: 98k. I reveled in my victory and kept merchanting, nearly 100k richer. If you want to read about how to do exactly this, read on. Setting Up
First off, unequip everything that gives you an attack bonus. Then, if you want more success, equip your rubber chicken. Put auto retaliate on off. Then head down to the Falador rune shop. It is suggested that you be merchanting my way through all of this (link above). It helps tremendously.
Realization
If you are merchanting, every time you switch worlds and open up Betty's shop window, check to see if ANY eyes of newt are missing. If there are missing ones (most likely 15-20), wait and see if a level 3 comes in from due east. If they do, but don't enter the shop, make sure the door is open and you'll be fine. If they trade Betty and run back the way they came, you got one.
Luring the Highwayman
Now that you're all set up, find one highwayman. They are located just north of the rune shop. Attack him and then immediately click to a ground square towards the rune shop. Only attack him once and try to inflict minimal damage. Now, take him one step at a time (ONLY ONE or you will lose him) to the rune shop. I find the easiest way is to stay west of all the trees then come down to the very north edge of the rune shop. Keep going east down that outside wall all the way to the fence on the other side of the path. Now, walk slowly to the south edge of the stairs until you're 1 space away from the south edge if a line were extending out from them. Then, click directly in front of the stairs and he should be right behind you. Continue into the building and let him follow you all the way in. Immediately shut the door.
Managing the door
The door is crucial in this operation. When you see the level 3 coming from the east, make sure the door is open. When he gets in, shut it. If the highwayman doesn't attack the level 3 right away, let him trade Betty and get his stupid eyes of newts. On his journey to the closed door, the highwayman should attack him. Stand and Deliver! If he doesn't, open the door then close it right away. This should make the macroer go crazy and move about the room, getting him attacked.
Watching the kill
As the macroer gets low on health, he may start to run to a corner. If the highwayman can't follow for some reason, open and close the door again to reveal the level 3's position. He should be close to dead or dead. Take your loot! This should be anywhere from 5k to 100k, depending on how long the macroer was planned to go.
I know this is a little lame, but when you are doing the merchanting technique I speak of, a little spice doesn't hurt.
Leave comments with any other type macroers you see that you can kill besides eye of newt-buying ones. Also leave comments with what you get as loot. In 10 days, I have made almost 200k!

The Varrock mugger won't work since the macroers buying deaths and chaos are already in the shop window with Aubery. However, they do attack the stupid rune ess people and kill them for 28 essences. LOL

Regarding them not going past a certain point on the map... Take the route i explained!! It works for me EVERY TIME. If you can't follow these instructions then have fun not killing them

This is merely a guide. It's not gonna solve all of your problems. For instance, if he gets stuck in a corner, attack him then run towards the macroer then behind the counter. Its like i'm speaking to a bunch of kindergarteners!

i thought it was bogus, but my friends and i started really getting tons of cash off this, we got a noob to bring al his $ and buy newts then resell them in fally, and in total at the end of the day he had around 175k what suprised me was it took absolutly no work! i sent the kid the macro program and u wuldnt belive how much $ we made in the end, in total in 3weeks ive made 17m and like 500k in items(mostly newts)

I can easily make 400k in 10 days. Not the most time effiecent way. Train up woodcutting, mining, fishing, or many other skills to get the maximum money.

Ahhh.... It's not Connors fault u nuerons can't figure out how to do this. This is easy stuff u guys just can't be paitent enough. "Rokin Mockin" is my real runescape main acc. I have figured out an easier way to get $$$$$$$$. Just go to the Scimitar shop in Al Kharid and Buy tonnes of the mithril scimitars. Sell them for about 4-5k. (U buy them for roughly 1060 coins so thats a bit of profit!)

Just because your TOO strong you moan...
1, Try making a lvl 3 acc and luring the highwayman? that way they dont die instantly.
2, Stop moaning at someone who has worked endlessly for your expense..

I once goed to buy some runes from bettys shop and I saw a macro.
then the evil chicken came(random event) and killed the macro..
The macro had 300k, 300 death, 400cosmic, 300 airs, and so on....

maybe try edgevill dungeon co'z sumtimes i see ppls there and they are picking up gold and other things ppl can't be bothered collecting. One time i got 300 big bones(noted) 10 more big bones 10k and about 20 law runes and 10k airs so i hit da jackpot. Also try the wilderness co'z noobs go there and there is alot fo revenants about and they just slay them 1 hit it funny.
