Here's how:
- Report people for using curse words.
- When reporting someone, always say something like, “Please, stop cursing ____ Player. When you report them, Jagex staff will see you telling them that they broke a rule in the 60 second tape of the scene that they saw.
- Report people advertising other sites, like autos that say, “Visit wwww.Example.com for cheap gold!
Jagex likes to see people taking action to one of Runescape's biggest problems, autoing, and real world item trading.
- Look for glitches, also known as bugs in the game, reporting things like that, especially ones that can get you free gold, and high levels is a great thing to get Jagex's attention
- Another important thing to becoming a player moderator is to make sure you have 0.0 black marks. You can check this by going to runescape's home page, and clicking “Appeal Ban/ Offence” witch is listed on the side.
Eliminating Black Marks
A black mark means that you got reported for something, and it was proven that you committed this offence. Some offences are appealable, like offensive language for example. That means you can come up with an excuse, or you can simply apologize to Jagex.
There are also black marks that you can not appeal, like scamming abuse, or account hacking. To get rid of these black marks, you must remain un-reported for 1 month, each month you do that, you get -1.0 black marks.
Note: You must have 0.0 black marks to become a Runescape moderator.
