How to get away from annoying noobs/high levels.

Page 1 of 2 | Prev 12Next»

Welcome to Runescape. Today, you will encounter many events. You might bump into a monster or two, or even perhaps a few quest givers. But I can 100% guarantee that you'll find yourself among a number of annoying people at random points in your gameplay. Here is the official Scale of Annoying'ness:

Obide by the scale and you'll understand what it means. The more populated the world is, the more chances of being interrupted by such annoying'ness. Choose your world at your own risk. But perhaps it is your will to go to such a world for specific reasons? If that is the case, allow me to persuade you in the arts of dealing with annoying people. Follow my guidelines to help improve your chances of avoiding annoying encounters.

Variations of Annoying People

  • Beggars
  • Discontinued Rare Followers
  • Internet Slang Users(LEET Language)
  • Aggressive/Threatening Fighters
  • Arrogant High Levels
  • People Convinced They Own Everything
  • Skill Cape Emote Beggars
  • Boyfriend/Girlfriend Searchers
  • Random Trade Request Spammers

Any others that you may have encountered along your path, please be advised to contact me ASAP and I'll be sure to give you the essential details needed**

How to Handle Annoying People

Beggars:

As I believe these are the #1 most annoying people in the game so I'll start big with these types. They prey on people who are high leveled, wearing any sort of equipment that looks cool and/or a value of over 100K. They usually hang around densely populated towns such as Varrock, Falador, or their home base of Lumbridge. As far as Member's World, they could be anywhere - watch your back! Usually a simple "No, sorry" will deal sufficiently with these people, but you may sometimes run into a more persistent individual. Either teleport or run away. If you feel like typing & having some fun, follow some of the procedures:

Trade Screen Confusion

Trade them and offer them what they want, press accept and just stare at the 2nd trade window until they decline. You then go "Omg why did you decline? I was just about to accept!" If they trade again, repeat the process. Alternatively, put up 1 coin at a time until they decline.

Copycat

  • Noob: Fr33 stuf pl0x!
  • You: Fr33 stuf pl0x!
  • Noob: Wth, I just sed tht!
  • You: Wth, I just sed tht!
  • Noob: Shut up!
  • You: Shut up!
  • Noob: I am stupid!
  • You: You are stupid!

Acting Ignorant

  • Noob: Fre stuf plz
  • You: Quickly takes off all armor, clothing, and weapons What stuff?
  • Noob: Wut u wer waring
  • You: You mean to tell me I had stuff?! Pmg, I can't believe I actually had stuff!
  • Noob: Wut r u talkin about?
  • You: I had stuff! I actually had stuff!
  • Noob: Can i hav sum?
  • You: Omg, I had stuff! I need to tell all my friends!
  • You: Wow! I can't believe I actually had stuff!

Error Message

  • Noob: Phr33 Stuf Pl0x?
  • You: -Syntax Error 404-
  • You: -Syntax Error 404-
  • You: -Syntax Error 404-

Note: If you find yourself in Lumbridge with a horde of beggars on your tail, enter one of the towers, climb the ladder to the very top, run to the ladder on the other side, climb down, and make your escape. OR enter a house, shut the door in between you and the beggar, and run like the devil himself is chasing you.

Discontinued Rare Followers

If you don't own a discontinued wear-able rare yourself, you more than likely have still seen these people following others. Especially people with Party Hats. This has got to be a burden for so many people. Running away or teleporting can only send you to another area filled with followers. Your only choice is to have some fun and mess with the small minds of these poor people.

Trade Screen Teaser

Noob: can i try it on plz?

You: Sure. *take off rare*.

*Enter trade screen and accept into the 2nd trade screen and wait until he declines*.

Noob: wtf?

*Walk away slowly to your destination while proudly putting back on your rare.

Smart-Ass Responses

Noob: What kinda statz does the santa hat give u?

You: +0 to everything except +100 to Moronic Magnetism.

Internet Slang Users(Leet Language)

This is one of my favorites, because you can confuse and baffle them with little effort on your part. Someone may approach you and ask ?y0 lvl 97 do u no were da place is fer dat quest da gaint drawf??/??. Note the spelling errors, lack of proper grammar, & the overuse of punctuation at the end of the sentence. I won?t even mention that fact that they find it easier to read numbers than words. I?ll break this conversation down for your humor. The idea comes from the robot from the game Star Wars: KoToR.
