Have you ever wanted to achieve something so great in Runescape that you though was impossible? Given the right conditions and enough time, one can achieve anything. This guide will help you get that purple party hat or that 90 strength.
Patience is the key. Like almost all things in Runescape, achieving major goals you set for yourself will take a lot of time. There are no shortcuts; but rather, there are methods to making the goal much easier to attain.
The first thing you must do is deciding what your goal is. If you hate standing in a bank your whole time on the computer, fletching is not for you. If you absolutely hate the thought of clicking on a rock thousands of times, mining is not for you. Find something that you enjoy doing in Runescape. Then decide what you want to achieve in that skill. For the sake of the guide I will use a 99 strength goal.
Once you have your goal set, it is imperative that you break it up into smaller parts. Set realistic daily goals for yourself that you know you will do. If you can only concentrate enough to get 20k strength experience per day, then set that as your daily goal. Do not be a hero and overload yourself by trying to get 200k or more exp in a day. You will most likely get bored and not achieve your goal. Know yourself and set mini goals accordingly.
Next, start doing it! For the strength goal, find the most efficient and cost effective way to achieve your goal. Then, each day, stick to your daily goal. When doing your training, try to not look at your exp every second. That will make things go a lot slower and your goal will seem that much harder. Instead, listen to music or do other things while you're training. Once that is completed, do something else. Entertain yourself on Runescape by doing another skill or go read a book. Like I said, don't be a hero.
If you see yourself steadily achieving your goal and making great progress, consider upping your daily goals. This will progressively come easier as your levels get higher.
When you have achieved your goal, revel in it. You have shown patience and dedication. Buy yourself something nice (real life or Runescape, haha). Then, set a new goal and start all over again!
