I honestly don't think this should be, Fist of Guthix is a great addition to Runescape, and a treasure trove to non-members.
The game consists of a hunter and a hunted, the hunter has to try at all costs to kill the hunted, and the hunted needs to try to evade the hunter while holding a mystic stone. This stone collects charges, and the more charges you get, the more tokens you get if you win.
The hunted will generally either try to hide from the hunter in the 10 charge area, hop from safe-house to safe-house (house hoppers), or simply stand in the middle. The closer the hunted stands to the middle, the more charges they will receive.
The hunter will usually wait in the middle for their hunted, or circle the outer edges looking for their hunted. If your hunted is smart, they will most likely lead you to a far end, then use a teleport ball. This is an item that automatically jumps you to the center. Eventually, the hunter will kill the hunted, and the two players will switch roles.
There are two rounds per game, each player takes a turn being hunted and hunter. Each round may last up to ten minutes, but will end if the hunted dies, or if the hunted fully charges (almost impossible).
The reason most players play this is to get one of the two new sets of mage armour, or to get a berserker shield. Some play just for fun. The items that can be bought here are unique and powerful, including new armored gloves. Bronze to rune gauntlets are an amazing addition to any armour set, rune adds around 15 points to combat defense.
All in all, this mini-game is a wonderful way to pass the time and make yourself more powerful in the process, but it is far from perfect. The pros and cons are as follows:
Pros: Good new items to be won, good way to pass the time, good way to make gold.
Cons: Nearly impossible for people under level 50 to win, a lot of level 80+ people play against you, can be frustrating if you cannot win or continue to fight 80+ at a low level, one room, random partner matches.
Although the game has issues, I still highly recommend it for those who want to look more memberish or just needs some fun!
