Easy Moneymaking: Super Glass

Glass blowing is a generally underestimated part of the crafting skill. In fact, you can make lots of money with it, following this guide.

Requirements

• Magic level of at least 77.
• Completion of the Lunar Diplomacy Quest.
• You will also need 5 fire runes and 2 astral runes per load.

Step I - Sand

There are two ways of collecting sand:

1. Buy from other players: Buckets of Sand are sold for around 250 gp each *
2. Collect from sand pits: You can collect sand from the sandpits in: Rellekka, Yanille, Zanaris Lost City (Completion of Lost City quest required), Entrana (You cannot take any weapons with you).

Step II - Seaweed

There are 3 ways of collecting seaweed:

1. Buy from other players: Seaweed is sold for around 500 gp per piece*
2. Collect it yourself: You can collect seaweed yourself from: Rellekka (9 spawn points), Big Net Fishing,Entrana (You cannot take any weapons with you) (8 spawn points), Shilo Village (Requires completion of Shilo Village quest) (3 spawn points), Piscatoris Fishing Colony (Requires completion of Swan Song quest).
3. Buy from shops: You can buy seaweed and soda ash from the charter boat traders. (Best place would be Catherby since this is the closest to a bank).

Step III - Making The Glass

Grab 5 fire runes, 2 astral runes, 13 buckets of sand and 13 pieces of seaweed/soda ash.

Next, cast the Superglass Make spell.

This spell immediately makes all the sand and seaweed into glass, and it can generate up to 50% extra glass. (So if i would make 10 pieces of glass, i can receive up to 15 pieces) This spell destroys the buckets.

Step IV - Selling The Glass

Glass is sold for around 800 gp per piece*

Step V - Profit

If you've got a bit of brain, you should be able to calculate the profit per piece of glass. You sold it for 800 gp and bought the ingredients for 750 gp (Using methods 1.1 and 2.1).

So: 800 gp - 750 gp = 50 gp

Now you may think "OMFG WHY AM I READING THIS 50 GP IS NOTHING THIS IS PURE TIMEWASTE!!!" But you should think a bit further. You are able to cast around 4000 spells in one hour, so that makes up to 5000 pieces of glass per hour.

Lets do another calculation then: 5000 pieces of glass * 50 gp profit per piece = 250.000 which is 250K in one hour, not bad huh?

Tips & Tricks

If you have completed the Hand in the Sand quest, you can talk to Bert in Yanille once a day and he will deliver 84 buckets of sand directly to your bank.
