I am an avid player of the online MMORPG Runescape by Jagex and I have built my self up a massive fortune that allows me to buy virtually anything I want in Runescape. I know that there are many poor non members out there who cannot even afford armor in Runescape so I made this guide for you people. Beginner to intermediate people in Runescape should find this guide very useful and if you have any feedback, please do not hesitate to do so.
Chapter1: Beginner Money-Making Tips
When you first make your account and you want to make money right away then go to the cow herd area near Lumbridge and collect a full load of cowhides which are lying on the floor. Then take 10gp out of your bank account and go east of Lumbridge to a gate. The border guards will ask you to pay 10gp to go through. Pay them and then when you are allowed through, turn south and until you reach a bank.
In there yell out selling cowhides 100 ea and you should find a buyer pretty quickly (do not forget to note your cowhides before selling.) Do this back and forth a couple of times and then you will have made your first 10k (10000gp)! Another way to make money as a beginner is to just collect the bones lying around and then banking them. After you have a lot, go to a near full world and go to Varrock west bank.
Just west of the bank within the city walls is a small area where people are buying bones (100ea) and big bones (350-450 ea). Sell your bones to these people and you will become rich very fast! The other way of making money is just woodcutting. Get to level 30 woodcutting and then cut a lot of willow trees. You can sell each willow log 30gp each. When you finally reach 60 woodcutting, move on to yew trees. Each log sells for 300each!
After you have 10k, I recommend that you start training your combat skills. Get full iron armor and an iron weapon and train on men, women, giant rats, goblins etc. Then move on to steel armor and eventually mithril. When your level is high enough to wear and wield mithril, you need to start making more money.
Chapter 2: More Advanced Moneymaking:
I recommend doing Doric's quest and The Knight's Sword quest. Get your mining and smithing levels to 15 each (not very hard) and then do those two quests after you are done, you will have over level 30 smithing. Now get your mining up to 30 and you can start mining coal! Mining coal is one the best ways to make cash because each ore sells for 150-200ea. When you have a lot of coal, go to the east falador bank and yell out selling coal and you will probably have customers since there is so much demand for coal.
You can make up to 100k doing this but after level 30 smithing, there comes a new way of moneymaking: selling steel bars. Since rich members need steel bars for their dwarf cannons, make lots of steel bars and sell each for 500-700 each! Although it would be more profitable to mine your ores, you can also buy iron ore (100ea) and coal ores (150-200ea) to make each steel bar.
By now you should have between 50k and 100k (if you followed my guide properly) so now you should train your combat stats to 30 each so you can wear full adamant and use adamant weapons. With your money, you should now go to the little hut near Varrock and Barbarian Village with a brass key. Go inside and there are hill giants under the ladder. These are some the best monsters for non members because they hit low, they give good combat xp and have great drops. They drop big bones other goodies. When you have a lot of big bones, go to a crowded world and sell your big bones 400ea. Also, when you have about 5-10 big bones, say trading big bones for limp wort roots.
Many people would offer you limp wort roots because they do not know the true value of them. In a crowded world, limps go 600-1k each! By doing this, soon you will be able to afford full rune armor. Train all your stats above 40 and then take a lot of food with you and complete the Dragon Slayer quest. Then buy a rune plate body and officially lose your "noob" status.
Chapter 3: Highly Advanced Money-Making
Now that you are a fairly rich person with about 100k in the bank, you want to get to the next level and buy trimmed rune armor. Full sets go from 800k to upwards of 2million. How do you make this kind of money? Merchanting which means buy low and sell high. For example, buy a lot of death runes from the rune shop in Varrock and sell them all 300ea. One of my favorite ways of making money is buying big bones in your local world 200-300ea and then selling them in world 1 for 400-450ea! You can make 100s of k's in this way everyday if you are patient.
Once you have full rune trimmed or green dragon hide trimmed if you are a ranger or mage trimmed if you are a mage, you can just train for the rest of your runescape life or go to the next level and buy holiday drops like party hats. Just keep following these methods and soon you will be rich enough to afford them. So follow my guide and become rich like me!
