Runescape is a huge online RPG game. It's really fun, you can kill monsters, and do quests, make friends, work on skills, and make lots of money. But there are people who would take advantage of others for their own gain by deceiving and tricking them. The name for these people? Scammers
Scammers trick other players into giving them money, stuff, or their accounts. You really have to be careful when you're trading, or else you could have your hard earned valuables snatched right out of your hands.
Suppose someone says they are selling a rune long sword for ten thousand gp or 10k. Now let us suppose you have been craving for a rune weapon for a while, but you don't have the money. Now you see the person selling the rune long sword at a very low price, and you trade with them. And out of pure excitement, you don't check if the person puts up the rune long, or if they did put it up, you don't see them take it quickly back out of the trade. So, you in turn trade the other person 10k for nothing. You don't check the last trade screen so you don't realize yet that you lost your 10k for nothing. And once you realize that you were another victim of scamming, the other person is long gone, enjoying your hard earned money.
Next, suppose a person says, "I can make you a member for free and I can clone all your stuff plus I can give you 10 mill all for free. All you have to do is give me your pass and bank pin" Now an inexperienced player will most likely place all their trust in the stranger, give them their password and their bank pin, hoping that what the person promised is going to come true. Well, there's a 100% chance that they're lying. First you can't clone items in the game. You just can't. So if someone says that they'll clone your Full Addy, just report them or walk away. Second, who in the world would pay 5 bucks a month for you so you can play RS for free as a member??? WHO??? Some shady figure that you meet out of the blue on the internet?? DON'T EVER BELIEVE THAT SOMEONE WILL MAKE YOU A MEMBER FOR FREE, THEY ARE LYING!!!!!! Last, who would give you 10 mill for free??? Again, no one will do that.
So be careful where ever you are on RS and pay attention to what people offer you. Watch what you trade and what other people trade to you, and you'll be good to go on RS. Good Luck!!
