Kongregate has just released there online card game called Kongai. Kongai is an online card game where you have 3 or 5 character cards that battle the other players cards! These cards range from Amazon's to Vampires and all unique abilities. They all have 3 defense stats one for physical, dark and light attack. Theses defense stats determine how much damage they take from the enemies corresponding attack stat which are all in the same categories. Each character can be equipped with an item also. These item range from increasing your health to boosting your defenses. The game is very much like rock paper scissors with some unique twists.
During your turn you can also change how close you are to the enemy (close or far) some characters are better suited to a specific range. You can also switch out, rest, or intercept your enemy. Switching out switches your current character to one of your others, but if you hit switch and your opponent hit intercept you will receive a lot of damage and the switch out will fail. Other then your Health you have your energy to worry about which determine what attacks you can perform. By selecting rest your energy goes up by an additional 20 that turn but you can not perform and attack. The game is very much a battle of wits and skill between you and your opponents you have to get inside their head and counter there moves with your own.
All new players are given 3 starter card so they can begin playing as soon as possible. They also feature Challenges on their site. These challenges require you to play a selected flash game on these site with a set goal. Once the goal has been reached you earn a new card for use in Kongai. They also do monthly challenges for the card game. This months challenge is the defeat the computer 3 times. Once accomplished you receive the Mindreader's Chalice card for use in battle.
