OVERVIEW : This rifle is worth the money for its capability. It is one of the cheapest guns available too. It should be your first gun in SF if u want to save money for a sniper.
PERFORMANCE WHEN TOTALLY BROKEN : This is a topic almost all reviewers do not touch on when it comes to reviewing weapons. I think this is important as not much people get their SP recharge fast enough to repair their guns before its too late ( including me! ). The M4A1 performs as well as it was when it was half broken when it's totally broken. The only drawback here is the recoil of the rifle. The crosshair can get VERY big if u spray the gun while even crouching. So my advice here is do not spray your rifle when its totally broken, a 4-round burst fire will be do some great damage on your enemy in the same situation but remember to jump around if you guys are having a dogfight!
ACCURACY : Not only with this rifle but with almost any guns u can say they are the most accurate ones available if you know how to use them or if you are used to how they fire. The M4A1 is accurate but not as accurate as the AK-74 and the AN-94. But here is the juicy part, I once killed a FRF2 sniper guy out in the docks of Shanghai at the 3 boxes while I was at the single box at near warehouse B and the Submarine! I used 2-round burst at his head and it shook him so much that he did not get a single chance to even fire at the crate which I was behind! And the guy was a red Captain when I was a green 2nd Lieutenant!
DAMAGE : I do not think this is useful as if you can hit a lot ( this rifle has a high RoF ), why would you care about the damage it deals? Anyway the only guns i found were quite a challenge to the M4A1 when in close-combat situations were the AN-94, FAMAS, MG-36. Do not worry about the AK-74, I thought it would win over the M4A1 in close combat but ALL of the AK-74 i ran into during close-combat were killed with either both of us dying or the AK-74 dying. I NEVER died by the AK-74 when I was using the M4A1.
RECOIL : This gun doesn't have much recoil unless its totally broken. Just make sure not to spray while running! That's obvious for any gun in any situation!
RATE OF FIRE : This gun has a decent RoF to cover up the quite little damage per bullet it offers. So always remember where the RELOAD button is so that u reload fast after about 2 or 3 kills with a single magazine.
KILLS PER MAGAZINE : This rifle can kill up to a maximum of 4 persons per magazine if you can control your left mouse button. For the average person about 1-2 kills is normal for a single magazine before u reload. Remember this is not a MG-36 where u spray and pray. Btw spray and pray = spray and pray for the flying bullets to hit your target.
RUSHING : Not only with this rifle but with any rifle just pray that u rush into a group of snipers( Although still dangerous if you got me there! )and not sprayers! And just spray them while jumping around and get yourself some high K/D.
FINISHING LINES : The M4A1 MAVERICK CARBINE is my favorite assault weapon in the game. It is not as hard as get used to as the AN-94 or the AK-74. Just a week of practice with any kind of matches will do. Just make sure you remember to reload at the right time and place and do not spray a lot unless your surrounded!
