Gears of War is one of the biggest online xbox 360 games. I am, myself, truly in love with this game. In this game there are many different weapons, there's great online play, and there are new levels always being released. In the campaign, or story, mode u play as a COG soldier, COG is the human side.
Your character, Marcus, was in a weird prison type thing, and his friend Dominic Santiago busts him out. The world has been taken over by the locust, or aliens. The whole story mode leads up to destroying the Locust empire. That's all I will tell you about story mode, but online play is even better believe me.
When playing on xbox live you can either compete on the leader boards or just play around in the player match's. Online you may play as COG or Locust, and use any weapon you choose! I highly recommend this game if u have any money laying around.
