METAL GEAR SOLID 4:
Guns Of the Patriots received a 10/10 on IGN(a very popular videogame website) and was even going to receive an 11/10 if it were possible. Although I only watched trailers and gameplay video's of the game, from what I know and saw, it deserves a far less score than what it was given. One of the gameplay video's I saw was with a washed up, wrinky, old geezer main character( Old Snake)(seen above) fighting with a balding old geezer(Liquid Ocelot) in mech machines! What is this? Senior Wars: Gundam Paradise Island? Retirement Home: Wheelchair Edition? Are you kidding me? Based upon my observation of the game, the graphics looked average, the characters looked plain and poorly drawn, and the gameplay and story looked common, repetitive and boring. I believe the only way this game actually got a 10/10 was because it is a Metal Gear Solid. Metal Gear Solid is a very popular videogame franchise and because of the game's past successes, that's why this game received the score it did. Sure, I can give Metal Gear Solid 1 a 10 because although it's a regular Playstation game, the characters can talk, it has a nice story, lots of movies, weapons, multiple storylines, and when you beat the game, you get to watch all the movies that you've watched during the game. Metal Gear Solid 4 on the other hand, has a 50-60 year old washed up senior citizen as a main character(Old Snake) fighting machines, single-handedly taking on stealth mission, saving the world, and whatever else he thinks he's doing at that age.

In conclusion, this game definately doesn't deserve the score it was given which was a 10/10 and I believe/know the only way the game actually got that score was because it's the final/newest sequel of a very popular videogame franchise. The highest score that I can possibly give this game is a 2/10. Rather you're a fan or not of this or any other game, you should at least rent the game first before buying it, because rewiews, popularity and past successes don't mean anything. Well, that's my false videogame review for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of the Partiots, wait til you see my next false videogame review...
