Bounty Hunter is a Combat-based Dangerous PvP mini-game. If you die here you will lose ALL of your items. (With 1 exception if you use “protect item” prayer) It is single-way combat UNLESS you are fighting someone and your target attacks you. (More explained later) It is available to both free players as well as members. It is located in level 20 wildernesses. There are 3 craters: Low level 3-55, mid level 50-100 High level 95-126. (In free player)

Getting Started
First thing you need to know is not to take anything you are not ready to lose. What you take is really up to you. Here is my recommended inventory and equipment for free players (and some members too):

Equipment: Inventory
- Amulet: Strength Potion
- Rune scimitar: Runes for “Bounty Locate” spell
- Green d'hide body and chaps: Food - and lots of it
- Anti dragon shield
- Boots
Stats do not really matter as there are 3 separate craters for different levels although a high strength or range is recommended.
Entering the Crater
Upon trying to enter the crater you may get this message:

Simply keep trying until you get in. When you enter all of your stats will be restored.
The crater is an empty area with nowhere to hide. When you enter you will see a red box in the upper right hand corner. This is your target. This is who you are trying to kill.
Rogues
A rogue is someone who wanders around looking for anyone to kill. They do not pay attention to who their target is. However, they will pay attention to others combat levels. Once they make enough kills they can check out the Bounty Hunter Rogues section of the hiscores.
Hunters
Hunters are people who try to find their target to kill. Once they make enough kills they can check out the Bounty Hunter section of the hiscores.
Hunter Strategies
Master of Deception
This strategy takes full advantage of the Bounty Hunter craters featureless layouts. They walk a short ways out towards the center and wait for someone to teleport to them. The way they deceive people is that you cannot see which way is closest to the wall. What they are hoping for is that if you run you will run to the center.
None
These basically just stay by the wall running around looking for their target.
Locaters
These simply teleport to their target and hope for the kill.
Rogue Strategies
None
These just simply wander around near the wall waiting for someone who looks like a good target.
Center Runners
These will run straight through the center looking for someone of a lower or similar level to become their next victim.
Rewards - The rewards for killing your target vary depending on your level but once you kill 10 of your targets (not all at once) you may go claim some money and runes from Mandrith.
Have fun out there and know your limits!!!
