Since the introduction of Internet the way how games were played had been revolutionize. Before the internet was not yet widely distributed or accessible to many, most games are in gaming consoles then with the increase of demand of personal computer there were games develop called the computer games. Mostly then the games in personal computer were like the games in super nintendo like the super mario a DOS type game. Then there were LAN games or local area network. Players can play to another player by local area network connection one example of this was starcraft.
Now the so called online game. Online games are games played with the used of internet literally. There are also games called offline games, these were the games which doesn't need of an internet. There were many online games that are free to play in the internet nowadays. One of my favorite before was the games in yahoo the texttwist and one can also download the game.
The most interesting online games for most kids now a days I think is the so called MMORPG games. I have played a few MMORPG games and there were free MMORPG games and there were others which needs subscription to continue playing. Massively multiplayer online role-playing game was really a big hit in our country and so was in another country. I remember a few years ago wayback I don't have personal computer I would go to internet cafe and there were many playing MMORPG games like MU online and conqueronline. Now there are more new MMORPG games introduced and I have heard about this World of Warcraft which had a growing population of players which has a member of estimated 10 million players who are players all over the world. I haven't played this game yet but I do have played warcraft which can be played without the use of internet.
