Is Resident Evil Five Actually Racist?

A game rousing a lot of disturbance through out the gaming community.

The Resident Evil 5 Sign

After a successful sequel in their Resident Evil series, Capcom is getting ready to release a 5th game in this series (not including the spin offs).  However, alot of people are talking if this game might possible be racist or not.

In the Resident Evil series, the protagonist is thrown into a zombie infested area where they must survive and figure out what was going on.  Here, the Protagonist, Christ Redfield and Sheeva Alomar find them selves in an African village where a new virus has begun to turn the inhabitants into "zombies".  Chris Redfield is cac-asain, while Sheeva Alomar is an African Native.  I bet you can see where this is going now.

One of the African Natives that became a zombie

The main reason why people are saying this game is racist is because a "white man" is killing "black men".  However, i must stress the point that this game takes place in Africa.  Thus, in Africa, there are African Americans.  It is not like Capcom could all of a sudden make a bunch of Asia people appear in Africa.  Then the game wouldn't make sense.  The only reason Capcom is making the Atagonists African American is because the game takes place  in Africa.  Several other places such as America and Anartica have already been used in games so i assume Capcom is trying to get a variety of places in.  Perhaps Capcom will make the next game appear in Linfen, China since it's such a polluted town it will be easy for zombies to pass un-noticed there.

Whether or not people believe this game is racist, Capcom is still going to release this game.  Already it has been announced to be released next year for the Sony's Playstation 3 and Microsoft's X box 360.  I have asked some people in real life with an X box 360 or Play Station 3 if they were going to get this game.  Although some  people say this game is racist, they say they are going to buy it anyways, "since it's that good".

Please note, I am will remain nutrual on this topic to avoid arguements.
