So you want to make a game? Wonderful! Hang on, you don't know any programming? Well, that's only a small snag. Here are some ways you can easily make a game without any previous programming knowledge.
Role Playing Games
Want to make an RPG? Not a problem with this wonder. You can get a free thirty day trial of it which is more than enough time to get used to it and make a simple game. It gives you a huge number of starting resources and you can customise pretty much everything in it. My personal RPG Maker of choice.
The successor to XP, VX adds numerous handy tricks to Xps already impressive lineup. Things such as dual wielding weapons, world maps, vehicles such as ships and airships. It also has an improved text method. However, I prefer XP over VX due to the rather poor map-maker for VX and the lack of sprites. It has a huge collection of Battle graphics, but not enough Sprites to go along with them.
First Person Shooters
A simple to use, yet powerful too for making First Person Shooter games. FPS Creator also has a number of extra content packs which can be purchased to add to its already expansive arsenal. It's successor, FPS Creator X10 also has the ability to alter enemy skins, has more realistic water, better graphics and allies. But, It's more expensive, has less add-on packs and will only work on Windows Vista with DirectX 10.
Other Game Makers
Make almost any type of game you want with Game Maker, using it's easy drag and drop interface. Plus, it's completely free!
they say how scripting makes the clock ticking and how almost everything can be done with it, but I'd rather script some simple things for XP that it lacks over VX (such as two weapon fighting and that sort of things) than trying to write some huge sick map script. and to be honest I don't even know how it can be done, because one thing is the game you make and scripts and stuff for it, but another thing completely is the editor itself who doesn't allow you to use different tilesets.
I really hope that people will make them think about what they did (by not buying vx) :P
