Well, this year seems to be shaping up to have multiple incredible releases for all of the consoles. There are definitely gonna be some long Christmas lists for games this holiday season. Everything from Halo 3 to Assassins Creed is going to keep the gaming community on edge and hyped up. Of course, for every good release there is also a disappointment lurking somewhere such as Super Smash Brothers Brawl being pushed back until February of next year. However, one must take that kind of disappointment to mean that the game is going to be that much better and have that much more content added into it for our enjoyment.
Need for Speed Pro Street is also sure to take the consoles by storm with its release on everything from the PS2 to the Xbox 360. Hopefully the game's designers will have included everything on the game on older consoles such as the PS2 as they do on the next-gen consoles. This would be a relief to the people unable to afford one of the newer next-gen consoles. Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights seemed to cheat some of the buyers with much less content on the PS2 than on the next-gen consoles. I believe that we can expect good things from EA on NFS Pro Street.
Guitar Hero III also seems to be grabbing people's attention with the hype even causing a South Park episode about Guitar Hero to be made. Personally I can't really give much information about GHIII as I haven't played it as of yet, but judging from what I have seen in GHII I can safely say that it will definitely be a must if you ever wanted to play the guitar or if you a fan of the series. GHIII even includes a personal favorite of mine as one of its hardest songs. Dragonforce's “Through the Fire and Flames” is sure to keep you practicing at the game due to its difficulty level. Confidentially, I don't see how even Dragonforce plays that song.
At any rate it seems that the fall lineup of games for 2007 is going to be one of the most powerful in gaming history, so this would be a perfect time to get into gaming if you aren't already.
