Zelda 2 Link's Adventure Midoro Palace Walkthrough

The guide will take you through the second palace in The Legend Of Zelda 2: Link's Adventure. You'll learn where the magic glove is, and how to defeat the final boss of the Midoro palace.

This game is now available for the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console system. This Zelda title was also released on the Gamecube, NES Nintendo Entertainment System and Gameboy Advance systems.

How To Find Midoro Palace

Finding this palace is not too difficult. From the start of North Castle, head to the west. Go south of the town Ruto and through the cave. Go to the water that leads to the path south of the cave. Follow the path until you reach a boulder. You can't get past this boulder yet. Now follow the path north. Go to the very top of the swamp that lies to the north of this boulder. Follow the swamp west. Keep going through the swamp west, and you'll discover the Midoro Palace.

Midoro Palace Walkthrough

At the very beginning of the palace stand behind the Iron Knuckle statue. Kneel down and strike it with your sword. This is random, so either a enemy or a magic bottle will appear. Continue to the elevator and head to the first floor of the palace. Keep going down on the elevator to the lowest level you can go.

Head towards the east and try to jump on the highest platforms to avoid enemies. At the end of this room, you'll find a key. Get the key and head back to the elevator. Go back up to the mid level point while going up on the elevator. From here, if you go right, it will be a dead end. Go to the left now.

Continue going to the west, and you will come to a room full of blocks. At the end of this room is a key. Grab the key and head back to the elevator. Now go back up again on the elevator. You should be on the first floor inside of the palace. Head to the west again. You'll come to an locked door as you go left. Keep going west.

Be sure to grab the key on the blocks as you are heading west. If you strike the dragon head statue on the way, you will get a red magic jar. Continue west and you'll finally reach an elevator. Go down the elevator. Stop at the mid point, but do not continue going down yet. Go to the west at this mid point.

You'll come across a locked door. Continue west and you'll encounter a large area of falling blocks. Just keep heading west as quick as you can and you should avoid most of the blocks. After this area, you'll have to fight two red Iron Knuckles. Jump up and strike your sword while coming down towards the enemy. If you keep doing this, you'll end up hitting the Iron Knuckle.

Continue west and you'll need to unlock another door. Don't worry, you should have enough keys still. Inside get the Magic Glove item. With the Magic Glove, you can now destroy blocks in the game. Head back east to the elevator.

Go down the elevator. You can now only go in one direction, east. So go east now. In the next areas will be breakable blocks with some tough Iron Knuckle enemies. Here is what you should do. Destroy the blocks, and lure the enemy to where the destroyable blocks used to be. In this area, you will be out of the dragon heads firing path. You'll encounter a lot of dragon heads that shoot energy balls here. So this is an easy way to avoid them, and defeat the other ground enemies.

You'll come to another elevator but don't take it yet. Keep going east to get another key. This is the last key to the palace, and the key that will get you to the boss. Get the key and head back to this elevator. Head east, through the locked door, and you'll come to the Midoro Palace boss room.

Midoro Palace Boss: Helmethead

This boss is easy as long as you have the downward thrust. The downward thrust technique is in the second floor of the church in the town of Mido. Use the jump spell to reach the second floor of the church. Use the downward thrust on his head and use your shield to block his shots. When you hit the head, it will fly around and another head will grow on him. Just try to ignore the flying head and continue using the downward thrust on him. Keep doing this and you'll defeat him.

This is the end of the second palace in The Legend Of Zelda 2 Link's Adventure. This game has sword techniques, similar to the ones seen in Zelda Twilight Princess. You'll need the downward thrust to easily defeat this boss.
