The Reflect Spell

In order to get the reflect spell you must find the missing child of a woman. First you need to save this kid. The kid is in the Island maze section. Here is how you get to the maze island. From the town of Nabooru, follow the path north. Go through the cave. When you exit this cave and come to the outside, head to the east. Go to the bridge and cross it to the east. This bridge will lead to the maze island area. Turn to the south right from the maze entrance. Follow the path south then head all the way east on this same path. At the end of the path, head north. Just keep going north until you reach the dead end. At the end of the path, walk into the water and you'll fall into a secret hole. Inside this hole is the missing kid.

Now you will need to take this kid back to the woman in Darunia. Exit the maze area and go back to the bridge. After you cross the bridge, continue heading west. Skip the cave this time, instead keep going west. If you keep going west you will find the town of Darunia. Go inside and give the woman back her missing kid. She will invite you inside and you'll get the reflect spell.

This spell is necessary in order to defeat the wizard enemies. You also need to have this spell to defeat the final boss of the fifth palace. When the boss or enemy throws a wave of energy at you, cast the reflect spell, and kneel down. Your shield will reflect the energy wave. This spell is required to finish Legend Of Zelda 2 Link's Adventure.

Here is a little tidbit of Zelda info. If you've played through The Legend Of Zelda Ocarina Of Time before, you will recognize the town names. The town names from Zelda 2 were used in The Ocarina Of Time. You can find The Ocarina Of Time on the Nintendo Gamecube and Nintendo 64 game systems. This title is also on the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console.

The Spell

This spell is simply called "the spell". This spell is in the town of New Kasuto. Here is how you get to this town. Go south from Nabooru. Head down the path past the spot where the crab creature was you used the whistle on to destroy. If you haven't defeated this roadblock yet, all you need to do is use the whistle on it. This flute is in the palace on the sea. This is the fifth palace.

Keep heading south until you see the graveyard. Don't cross the bridge, but follow the water to the north. At the top of the water you will see a cave in the north area of the water. Go through this cave. When you come out you will see a sand and woods area. Walk through each tile of the woods on the world map, and you will enter a secret hidden town. This is the New Kasuto Town.

In the second section of New Kasuto, three houses down, you'll see a chimney. Use the jump spell to get to this chimney. Push the down button and go inside. Inside the house you'll find an old man who will give you "the spell". After you get this spell, head to the part of town that is a dead end. Use this new spell, and a secret cave entrance will appear. Inside you'll find the magic key, which you will need for the last palace in the game. You can also use this spell to turn enemies into the blue slime type enemies.

The Thunder Spell

This is another spell that you need to have in order to finish The Legend Of Zelda 2 Link's Adventure. This spell is in the Old Kasuto town. In this town are invisible enemies, but you can see them once you get the cross from the sixth palace. In order to get to Old Kasuto, head south of Nabooru. Go past the graveyard and cross the bridge going east. After you cross the bridge go south. Now head east across another bridge.

The town on the other side is Old Kasuto. Go inside the first houses you see. Inside you'll see that one of them has a basement. Go to the basement and get the thunder spell. You can use the thunder spell two ways. This spell can destroy all enemies on the screen. It is also required to use on the Thunderbird boss in the final palace. As soon as the Thunderbird appear, you must cast the Thunder spell so you can inflict damage on him.

This is all of the spells in the Nintendo NES Legend Of Zelda 2 Link's Adventure game. There are a total of eight spells to find in this game. The spell locations are the same whether you play the Gamecube, Nintendo Entertainment System or Gameboy Advance version. This game is now also available on the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console.
