How to Get Every Spell in Zelda 2 Link's Adventure

This guide will show you how to get all the spells in The Legend Of Zelda 2 Link's Adventure. This game was released for the Nintendo entertainment system, Gamecube, and the Gameboy advance systems.

The Shield Spell

This is one of the easiest spells to get in the game. This spell in the town called Rauru. To get here, just exit the main palace from the beginning of the game and head east. Now head down the path south and you'll see the town. Inside, there will be a woman who wants you to visit her father before you leave. Watch as she walks back inside the house. When she opens the door, go to the open door and press the up button to enter. Go inside and you will go to the basement. In the basement, an old man will give you the Shield spell. This spell will turn the clothes on link red and make his defense stronger.

The Jump Spell

In order to get this item you need the item called the trophy. To get the trophy, head north from the beginning of the game on the Hyrule over world map. To the north, in the desert, you'll see a cave. Venture through this cave to get the trophy. Once you get the trophy, head south to the path. Now follow the path west to the town of Ruto.

Inside of the Ruto town, you'll meet a woman who says here trophy was stolen. Since you have the trophy, this woman will invite you inside. This woman is easy to find, you'll see her come out of one of the houses inside of the town. After you go in the house, and go into the basement, the old man there will teach you the jump spell. The jump spell will allow you to reach extremely high areas where you couldn't reach before.

The Life Spell

This spell is in the town of Saria. This town is directly south of Ruto. After you leave Ruto, head south and go through the cave. After you exit the cave head south through the swamp. When you keep going south you should see a path with a bridge on it. Cross the bridge going to the south. The path will lead to the town of Saria. Look for a large two story house and talk to the woman who comes out. She will tell you that she lost her mirror. Head into the second section of the town.

Right before you cross the short bridge you will see a small hut. Search inside the hut and you will discover the mirror. Try kneeling down and pressing the action button to find it. Now take it back to the woman who was looking for the mirror. Go inside the house and learn the life spell from the old man. You can now add more life to your hit points when they are low.

The Fairy Spell

The fairy spell is unique in all of The Legend Of Zelda games. Nothing like this spell has ever been used in the Zelda Nintendo games. In order to get the fairy spell you will need the hammer. The hammer is in southern hyrule through the death mountain maze. After you exit the death mountain maze, go to the west and you will see a hole with a big rock next to it. Fall into the hole to get the hammer.

With the hammer, go to the cave the is directly north of Saria. To get in the cave you'll need to use the hammer to destroy the boulder. Push the action button to destroy the rock. Go inside this cave and you'll find the Medicine. Now you will need to go to the town of Mido to get the fairy spell. From north part of Saria, follow the path all the way to the east. You'll encounter another boulder. Use your hammer to destroy it.

Continue heading east until you see the town of Mido. Head through the town until you find an old woman. She is looking for the medicine. Go into the house and the old man there will teach you the fairy spell. This spell allows link to turn into a fairy. Using this spell you can reach hidden locations in the game.

The Fire Spell

The fire spell is in a town called Nabooru. This town is easy to find. Get on the dock right by the town of Mido. You will automatically go east. Keep going east from here, where you get off the raft, and you'll see the town of Nabooru. Inside you'll find a woman who says she is looking for water. Near the house is a water fountain. Go to the water fountain and touch the action button. You'll automatically get the water when a box pops up and asks you if you want any. Go back to the woman and give her the water. Go inside and claim the fire spell. With this spell, you can throw little fireballs like in the Super Mario Brothers Nintendo games.
