When you start Gladiatus, don't forget to equip the shield that is in your inventory.
Each kind of armour gives armour points. The more armour you have, the more damage it absorbs.
For example when your opponent has damage 17-20 and your armour absorbs 20-25, he won't damage you.
If opponent has damage 15-20 and you absorb 12-16, he'll have 3-4 damage through armour.
Having armour is very useful and when it's pretty high, you won't get hurt so much.
But having high damage is also useful. The Gladiator who deals most damage in challenge always wins. (Except if his hp falls to 1. Then Gladiator automatically loses)
For higher damage, buy good weapon in auction and put a Grindstone into it to increase the damage.
Concentrate either on armour or on damage. The person concentrating on one thing usually wins.
When you start the game, you can only see normal things in auction and in market.
As you advance, Magical things start to appear. They have slightly higher attributes and boost your stats.
They can boost your stats by normal value or by percentage of your current value.
For all those things you need gold. To earn gold you can work in stables. More effective way is to complete quests.
To get quest, go to Tavern and choose Hard.(it means that you get 6 quests. Other options give less quest. But difficulty is same.
In quests you get experience points and gold for killing monsters and then gain quest reward. In some rewards you can get items.
Next, you can buy food in shop and in auction and then sell it on market to people. Always sell the food at rate - The health it heals x3.
So if some bread heals 400 health, you will sell it in market for 1200 (400x3). People will always buy the food. Always put items on market for 24 hours. Don't put them on for 2 or 8 hours.
Remember, trading with food and quests are the most effective ways of how to earn lots of money.
In market you can see items that are 25% above of your level. but you can't see items 9 levels above you.
For example: You are level 16. 25% of 16 is 4. So you see your level + 25% = 16 + 4 = 20.
But as i said, you can see only 9 levels ahead. So at level 100 you don't see items level 125 but 109.
I don't know how it works in auction but you always see higher levels there than in Market.
In Market you buy items from players for the gold the person puts it in the market.
At Auction you place a bid on randomly generated items. If someone overbids you you won't get your gold back.
The Auction Durations are:
- Very long: 30 minutes
- Long : 2 hours
- Middle : 2 hours
- Short : 1,5 hours
- Very Short : 30 minutes
(I'm not 100% sure about that time but it should be like this)
Don't forget to challenge people in arena. You gain Experience and Gold that way too, move your rank up and gain respect.
Always work in stables for 8 hours when you go to sleep.
