Battlefield 2, the modern day war game played by millions world wide. They game may seem simple but when it comes to online playing it is like real life, you will always end up dead with in seconds on your first few games.
A few recommended kits are for beginning, I'd say use the Special Ops. Why? Well this kit has a very nice gun that has a scope, and a good punch when it hits the enemy. The kit also has C4 in which you can lay over the floor and on walls and when the enemy comes around... BOOM!

Always while playing, never stand still in open areas because you can get sniped, bombed, hit by a rogue vehicle or even knived (although this can happen anywhere, but you have a greater chance). So when you're in open areas, try to continuously sprint (Shift Key) or 'Bunny Hop' (Space Bar), this makes it harder for the enemy to shoot you, but remember some things like 'Bunny Hopping' are banned on some servers.
Bombing and artillery strikes occur often while on air maps, some of the worst maps include Gulf of Oman and also Kubra Dam. To estimate if your in a area prone to bombing, check around you for the following:
- a. Vehicles - These show up on the jet / choppers HUD in which lock on to a nearby vehicle.
- b. Groups of soldiers - Some groups of soldiers in open areas are prone to bombing and showers of bullets!
- c. Uncaptured Flags - If you're catching a flag, all the opposite players will be notified and you may be bombed!
- d. Strateic Objects - Like artillery, satellites... Commanders and Jets constantly check for soldiers!
Artillery in terms of being bombed is never forseen, the commander will place an artillery strike and you can't really find out where it is going to hit. If you're close to the artillery and hear / see it jut and make a cracking sound, it is launching so run about 30 feet to be safe from possibly it being aimed at you!
Some things to not do
- a. Never shoot while running around corners, you may TK a team member! (You can get get kicked!)
- b. Never drive cars fast through city maps, there are mines everywhere, if you hit one... BANG!
- c. Never play without knowing the rules of the server, you may get banned for wrong doing.
- d. Never jump of buildings without hitting '9' continuously, you may die from falling!
- e. Never place mines around your base, sometimes you may TK someone.
- f. Don't throw grenades if your team is running the way you are throwing because you may TK them.
- g. Never stand still in open areas as we've talked, you are prone to getting shot.
To stay alive and get tonnes of kills, the best choice is to be a Sniper, go to a map like Strike at Karkand; select the Sniper kit and get to an elevated area like a building. Try to be situated where fighting action is occuring, this way more enemies will be around and you can shoot more. Now that your up there try and shoot enemy targets, preferably who are lying down or standing still. Try also placing claymores on ladders near you so any enemy coming up to kill you will get blown up on his way up!
