Aim Where They Will Be
This skill is basically to aim in front of a target which is moving. Wait until he gets to your aim point, and FIRE! This skill is very useful for shooting off rushers.
If someone is rushing towards a submarine in shang and you aim for their body, you will most likely miss. Since they constantly move forward. However, you can put ur mouse just infront of the body and wait for it to run into your shot. This skill is useful for people who are bad at quick scoping. Here are some tips:
To improve this skill, observe the behavior of people when they run, walk, and rush.
You will find that most people have the same behavior which is just running forward without stopping or jumping or turning.
Do not aim too far ahead. Eg: If the rusher is rushing sub and you put your aim point near the target zone and wait, they will most likely win. You might miss and then it will be too late. Even if you hit they might fall on top of the target zone.
Name Show
Name show is when you run your aim on top of an enemy, it shows their name.
The use of name show is very important to every sniper. That is because snipers can kill in one shot. If say you are sniping the red spawn at office. Your target smokes you, but you are still scoped and aiming at the same place where they will rush out. You can wait and see if their name shows. If they do than you can click them and you will kill them.
Tips
Do not try using name show when flashed, because you can not see around you and the enemy can easily run right to you and you are dead.
Some times name show may not be accurate. For example, when someone is hiding behind a corner, you can see their gun sticking out. IF you aim at that gun their name will still show. HOWEVER, if you shoot the gun they don't take damage. Be careful about this.
You can use name show while you hide behind shootable objects in order to kill the enemy. For example: In hospital, if you are red you would rush out to the place where they ambulance truck is. Crouch behind the blue car. Now aim towards the top window, see a tree blocking you?? Yep, that is right , you can shoot through the tree and nameshow will still show. So if someone was at the top window trying to snipe you, it would be hard cause they won't know where to snipe because of the tree. However, it is easy for you because their window is small and right behind the corner of the tree. If you don't know the location of the window you can either move your mouse until it shows the enemy's name , or move out a bit, check where it is and move back in to search for enemy's name.
Jumpshots
Alright this is my favorite part of sniping! It is so fun!
Basically, for this you jump out of your hiding position take a quick shot and jump back. For example : IN shanghai you are at the green box. You jump out towards the office. While you jump you shoot the enemy. IF he doesn't not die, you can either jump back or jump to the next side WITH A KNIFE! (in case you get owned.)
In order to do a jump shot, follow these steps:
- make sure you are not crouching
- run a bit
- Press space AND D at the same time or else you will only jump a little bit and not the whole way so you can shoot.
- Let go of the spacebar and the d button
- Scope and shoot while you are in the air.
- Jump back. Even if you killed him because there might be more.
- Or you can jump to other side while using a knife.
With practice, the above steps will become simple. Here are some tips:
Listen to sound , when you hear footsteps coming, jump out. (Do not jump out randomly without hearing anything)
Make sure you are not tricked by fake footsteps (walking against a wall) if you hear footsteps but they never seem to change volume, they are fake. The person is trying to lure you out.
The jumpshot is done well with a frf2. A psg can also do one. However it is hard to use any other sniper weapon
You can jumpshot with a sprayer too. Just don't shoot in mid air , your aim will fly everywhere.
Make sure you press d(move right) at the same time or else your jump will not jump you out of the box. If you do not make it, do not jump again as you will jump a tiny bit and your enemy will see you and you will not be able to see them.
Don't make too much sound when jumping.
