Many Similarities Between Movies/Games and Resident Evil

This was made to point out many similarities between Movies/Games and the Resident Evil Series.

Section 1: Gears of War

1. Name of Protagonist from GOW and name of antagonist in Resident Evil Zero (Marcus Fenix) (James Marcus)
2. Marcus Fenix and James Marcus both apparently both lived in estates
3. Berserker Monster from GOW and the Garrador from RE4 .
4. Instant killing chainsaw weapons GOW has soldier with the Lancer, and RE4 has several Notable Ganados that can kill you with a single swipewith a chainsaw
5. The Third person over the shoulder view
6. An Apocalyptic Setting full of Enemies
7. In GOW a boss in Act 3 the "Corpser" is similiar to One of Saddler's forms in RE4
8. The Iron Maiden in RE4 is similiar to RAAM from GOW, spikes and kryll. They both extend to attack and protect the person using them.
9. Some of the protagonist's allies die in both games (i.e. Minh Young Kim/Anthony Carmine/all those other Carmines from GOW. Enrico Marini from RE0, Richard Aiken from RE1, Ada Wong is presumed to be dead in RE2, Nicholai Ginovaef from RE3, Luis Sera from RE4, Steve Burnside from RE:CVX)

Section 2: Saw Series

1. At the end of Saw 4 a character named Hoffman apparently Slices off Jigsaw's Face and uses it as a mask. Much like how Lisa Trevor Sliced off her mother's face to use as a mask in Resident Evil 1

Section 3: Dead Rising

1. Zombie Infestation
2. Protagonist trapped in an area with zombies
