Phosphor: The Best Online 3d Shooting Game

Quick review of the what I think best online shooting game.

Phosphor is still in beta stage (Beta stage is a development stage where a product is under development but working and released to people for the purpose of testing) but already amazing. Phosphor is programmed in Shockwave and thus should be working with all current browsers. If not then it might be just a matter of downloading the latest plug-in.

It takes a little while to load and sometimes make my browser (Firefox) freeze for a few seconds. Once the game has fully loaded you are presented with a very simple and easy to use menu. Here you can see the control keys and get into the little bit more complicated settings menu. In the settings menu you can change the control keys and settings for video, audio, game and network. I have never tried this but it seems to me that you can set up multiplayer games so you can play against your friends. In the game settings you can set the difficulty and the number of opponents.

Once in the game it is really easy to play. Aim, Shoot, Kill. The graphics are better than Playstation 1 games and are very fluid. There is a choice of 4 Weapons that you can pick up. You can also pick up health packs and amour packs. The Bots are not clever but certainly they are an enemy. Especially if you play 1 on 1. During play you can write messages which is displayed on the screen so that all players can see it.

There is currently only one map available and playing it over and over again will get boring but it is still a great game. Especially if you are at work of college and you want to take a quick break then Phosphor is a must.

You can find Phosphor at this address here.

PS Please feel free to leave some feedback about this article and what you think about the game.
