Here i tell my opinion about PsP games. As simple as that, today i'm going to talk about one of most popular psp games - "Patapon"
It's on the top of the ratings and is a fun game created by so Japaneese dudes.
First you get kicked off with only the flag-guy (?). She hears some drum and starts walking, while getting 3 patapons with spears to join her. Then you get kicked off to your first mission. The you do some senceless killing, then you destroy a couple of houses with only 3 spears and a guy with a sword... Then you do some more sencless killing and yay, the most powerful patapon dies just because he has "fufilled his destiny" and such and drop a crapload of stuff for you to pick up. Yay, your first mission is completed... Well the plotline kind of sucked, but oh well. Then you go hunting and kill animals for ka-ching, witch is kind of like money...That drops from animals....Well, who cares if animals don't really carry money in real life, every game rpg based must have some crappy animals, that drop crappy money, that you use to buy some crappy items and such. The problem here is that when you start off, you have no minigame to gain resources, so they ar rare as hell, and you are stuck at strugling to make the most simple patapon from the most simple resources. Once you do get enough of crap to make your patapon, he comes from a tree. Great, now your army is some white fruits with sticks and eyes istead of a body. Then you kill some more, then you kill a boss, and then you move on with this all game.
So, what does make this game epic?
Well it's a new thought: why don't we make an original, but an impossible game to of those who have no sence of a beat?
Yeah, the idea is original, but the game is impossible to play even in a bit noisy place. Even if you put the volume to max, you still don't hear the beat.... Wow, thanks sony. Now we have to buy earphones to get deaf and blind at the same time. It even rhymes.
The patapon, a good thought, though a bit too impossible.
Still worth a try.
