Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny
Onimusha 2 is the first game in the series that I played and is my favorite. I love this game for the forbidden romance between Jubei and Oyu, rife with romantic tension, even though it does get corny at times. They are my favorite pairing. Onimusha 2 is essentially a love story at heart - a romantic adventure.

Jubei Yagyu - the main protagonist in Onimusha 2. He epitomizes the honor and nobility of a samurai - very chivalrous and brave. He is based on the real life historical figure of Yagyu Muneyoshi, the originator of the Yagyu Shinkage-ryu school of swordsmanship. He is also modeled after the late Japanese actor Yusaku Matsuda.

Oyu of Odani - Jubei's love interest and Onimusha 2's leading lady. She looks really pretty and innocent in this drawing, showing off her femininity. She is based on the real life historical figure of Oichi, the sister to Oda Nobunaga, the main antagonist in the game.

An breathtaking artwork of Oyu. The artist captures her beauty quite magnificently, with a great attention to detail, especially on her armor. Such a lovely image.

A group artwork featuring the main cast. From the top we have Oyu, the shield and swordswoman; Magoichi, the marksman; Kotaro, the ninja boy; Ekei, the spearman; and Jubei, the swordsman.

A picture of Jubei and Oyu. She seems to be thinking about Jubei's different incarnations, looking rather perplexed. Jubei has a his hand on her shoulder, looking rather concerned, wondering about her.

A adorable picture of Jubei and Oyu riding a mechanical horse - a scene from the game. She is clutching on to him as the horse rises up. There is a look of fierce determination on his face, willing the horse to obey. They make such a sweet and cute couple.
Onimusha: Blade Warriors

A fan-art of Jubei and Samanosuke duking it out, their swords clashing. Blade Warriors features character from Onimusha 1 and 2 in a multiplayer brawler - sort of a dream match to pit your favorite characters together from different games.
Onimusha 3: Demon Siege

A Samanosuke and Ako fan-art. Ako is a Tengu - a fairy-like creature with magical powers who assists the protagonists. Here she and Samanosuke are tying a string around their fingers - symbolizing a promise of some sorts. How very cute!

A cute Ako is waving while Samanosuke is carrying boxes. Shows how impish and playful she really is, just like a Tengu. She looks childlike, but is in fact quite ancient.
Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams
My second favorite game of the series, simply for the character relationships. Roberto and Ohatsu are my favorite pairing, essentially for Roberto silently yearning for Ohatsu, loving her from afar. I found it touching that he always stood by her, even though her heart longed for someone else. I also like Soki and Akane Jubei. She was the only person he said goodbye to in the end and the only character they showed openly mourning his loss.

Soki - the protagonist in Dawn of Dreams. Looking rather foreign for a samurai, sporting blond hair and metallic horns. He is the most boyish and reckless of the main protagonists in the series.

Akane Jubei Yagyu - the female ninja in Dawn of Dreams. She is the granddaughter of Onimusha 2's Jubei Yagyu. Spunky and cute, she is the tomboy of the bunch. She seems to have a crush on Soki.

A cute fan-art of Arin and Tenkai, also formerly known as Ako and Samanosuke. She is now human size and dressed like a schoolgirl nun while he has long, white hair and now wields a staff.

A group picture of the four main guys in contemporary attire. Starting from the left: Munenori Yagyu, an antagonist and the uncle to Akane Jubei Yagyu; Soki, the main hero; Roberto, the brawling half Japanese, half Spaniard; and Tenkai, the staff wielding monk.

Another contemporary group fan-art. Starting from the left: the cute Akane Jubei; the pretty Ohatsu, daughter of Onimusha 2's Oyu and a marksman; Soki, our hero; Roberto, the half Spaniard who is pining away for Ohatsu, thus he is staring at her (how cute!); and Tenkai, our long-haired monk. They are dressed for for high school PE. What a funny picture!

A lovely watercolor image of Lady Yodo and the dual katana wielding Munenori. Yodo is the older sister of Ohatsu and the daughter of Oyu. Her hair is elaborately coiffed. Both are wearing kimonos.

An image of the pretty Ohatsu. She is looking at us rather warily. She harbors intense feelings for Soki, ever since they were childhood friends.

Another cute image of Ohatsu, looking absolutely adorable. She is depicted here wielding a laser gun and is in her Onimusha mode. Her mentor is Onimusha 2's Magoichi Saiga.
