Dan's Crypt Walkthrough

A walkthrough for the first level in the PlayStation game MediEvil.

Well, it's not really a level, since there are no enemies to fight and no chalice to collect. It's just a place to stock up on weapons/supplies before the actual levels commence.

This level will start with a cut scene in which Sir Dan has a conversation with two goat heads. Once you gain control of Sir Dan, walk to the lower-left and grab the Small Sword. Then walk across to the other side of the room and grab the Throwing Daggers. Unequip them, however, because the Small Sword is a lot more effective in the earlier stages than the Daggers are.

Then walk over to the left, and jump onto the pile of dirt and grab the Life Bottle. Walk back in the direction from which you came, but this time turn right into the hallway with the gargoyle heads on the walls. Grab the Star Rune in the middle of the hallway, and keep walking till you reach the shallow pool of water. Jump across (it's okay if you fall in - the water is shallow, and Dan will not drown).

Hit the chest on the right side to open it, and grab the Copper Shield that falls out. Then grab the bag of money on the left side. Then turn around and head back the way you came.

Once you are back in the big room where you started, turn left and walk over to the gate (close to where you got the Throwing Daggers as well as the Life Bottle). See that hand next to the gate? Walk over to it and your Earth Rune will pop into the hand, opening the gate. Now just walk up the stairs and out the green slime-surrounded door to finish the "level".
