I have found to some people this is a very difficult question to answer.
I have wondered about the opinions of gamers when they have these questions popped at them... I have found out that answering these questions could be very difficult. Halo 3 has awesome graphics, so does Call of Duty 4. Halo 3 has a wide verity of weapons and maps, so does Call of Duty 4. Each also have great game controls, but with a little variations. So, the only differences when you look at both games besides controls, is that they are the same game, just one is in 2565, one is in 2008.
Then I though, no way, that's not the difference, Call of Duty 4 also has an Arcade Mode, but Halo 3 doesn't. Also, Halo 3 allows you to drive different vehicles in play, Call of Duty 4 doesn't. These two great video games have advantages over each other, but yet, it's such a difficult decision to whether or not to get one or the other.
My conclusion is that these games are both great, and if you are able to buy 2 games on a shopping trip, I say get BOTH of them. If you can only get 1, I would pick Halo 3. But otherwise, close your eyes and put your finger on one of them.

COD 4 is better than HALO 3. It has good graphics and you don't need that good of a graphics card to play it and the gameplay is terrific. IT IS DA BEST :P So better buy it and leave HALO 3 in your junkyard! :P :D :D :)

i agree with gurtaton cod4 is better the only great thing about halo 3 is the story line its awsome and also cod4 is alot of fun online while halo 3 can get boring after playing online for a periode of time and cod4 ionline is always fun
