The Halo Sniping Guide

Sniping spots

• Blood Gulch/Coagulation: Fly Banshee to rock outcrop jutting out of the canyon wall, Hide in the shady areas close to the canyon wall at the red and blue bases
• Containment: Fly Banshee up to the large structures just outside of each base and hide in the shadows
• Relic: Don't ever go to the obvious sniping spot by the beach(The one you use an anti-gravity lift to get up to)as it is a perfect trap in which you get killed like a sitting duck. Instead, go to the structure in the center of the map and snipe from the second level.

Tips and tricks

• Moving around when sniping helps a lot when an opponent spots you
• Carrying effective sidearms can save your life
• Make every shot count and kill
• Relocate your sniping spot after a few kills can prevent opponents you killed from finding you after you respawn
• Always make sure your weapon has at least 2 bullets in case you miss or do not manage to kill your target
• Having a getaway vehicle helps when you want to avoid being killed by sniping oponents

Useful secondary weapons

• Shotgun(Good for giving opponents a nasty surprise due to effectiveness in close range combat)
• Rocket launcher(Effective last resort but make sure you don't kill yourself)
• SMG/Assault rifle(Effective in blinding enemy before making a quick escape)
