How to Modify Custom Usermaps for Halo Three

Equipment: A datel Xport 360 hard-drive dock

Programs: Gaming Noobs All In (GNAIO)

STEP 1: Create a blank Halo 3 forge map.

STEP 2: Place the items you would like to replace with modified content.

STEP 3: Save the map and turn off your Xbox 360.

STEP 4: Connect the Xport360 to the USB ports of your computer.

STEP 5: Open GNAIO and click the Xbox 360 tab, scroll to connectivity tools and open Xport 360.

STEP 6: Disconnect your hard-drive from your Xbox 360 and connect it to the Xport 360 dock.

STEP 7: Select your device. Click on Partition 3 then Content then select the second item down this is your user profile. Click "4D5307E6" this is Halo 3 then click 00000001 find the most recently modified file named "usermap" (it will have a few numbers after it) drag and drop this file into a folder.

STEP 8: In GNAIO select Halo 3 then Modding Programs then Forge 2.3.

STEP 9: In Forge 2.3 open the usermap file from where you saved it. You will see a list of tabs find the one containing the appropriate item name (or something similar) to what you placed in your map.

STEP 10: In the second box down there are two drop down boxes. In the first one selcect the tab which contains the modified content you want and in the second one select the name of the content you would like eg. Tab=Bipd

Object=objectscharacterselitemp_elitemp_elite this is an elite clone. Whenever you change anything you would like to keep changed click the save button to the right. In the top box change your maps name and description to something more appropriate then save it.

STEP 11: Find where you extracted you usermap file and change its name. Please note you must have no spaces and the word "usermap" must be at the start of the file name.

STEP 12: In GNAIO select Halo 3 then CON rehashers then X360 CON hasher, click the big button and open your file. Then in GNAIO select Halo 3 then CON resigners then 360ConSigner, click open find your map then hit RESIGN. Find you map and drag it into Xport360 and into the area you extracted the original map from.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! You are done.
