Five Ways to Improve Your Halo Skills

Do you want some improvement at Halo? Try some of these tips.

Is your Halo game decent, but you want to get slightly better? Try these ideas to improve your Halo skills:

  1. Know what weapons to use

This tip has two parts. You want to know what weapons you are good at using, as well as when a certain weapon works better. However much you like using Dual SMGs, you might not want to try to shoot a sniper half-way across the map with them. Note that the weapons you are good at using might not be the ones you are best with.
  2. Up the control stick sensitivity

While it might be nice to have low sensitivity initially so that you can aim better, you need higher sensitivity of the control stick so that you can aim faster. Turn up the sensitivity and force yourself to get used to playing that way. You may initially have very bad aim, but after a while, you will find that you can aim and react faster, while still having good aim.
  3. Know the maps

Even though you can play by just running around and shooting everyone you see, it pays to learn the good sniper posts and potential locations for ambush. This can help by letting you check the sniping posts or ambush spots for opponents, or by letting you use them. On the reverse side, some players might avoid using those spots in case you are expecting it.
  4. Play as red

This one is a bit facetious, but a study found that in random team matches, the red team wins 55% of their matches. It is unsure why red wins more.
  5. Have fun

This might seem very obvious, but I have found that many people seem angry at the world for conspiring against them after every match they play. If it seems like the game is causing you more frustration that actually giving enjoyment, you may want to pick another hobby.

Good luck and have fun!
