This is a list of 10 ways you can be a better player in Halo three.
Try to throw your grenades so that they land under warthogs or other vehicles. If you succeed, you will either severely damage the vehicle or destroy it, killing those inside.
If you get the sniper rifle, try to find a good vantage point where you can't be seen easily but can still easily see other players
Connected to the previous point, but when sniping, always aim for the head, a headshot is pretty much an instant kill
If you are in close quarters with someone, try to get behind them and mêlée them, if they haven't tried to attack you yet, you will get an assassination medal, if they have, you'll get the beatdown medal
The shotgun is a very good close range weapon and something many players favour, a couple of blasts from that close range will kill your opponent. However, it is rubbish for long distances.
On a map like Guardian, with no vehicles, press the LB button to switch between grenades so that you have selected sticky grenades if you have them. Then, if you are losing a fight, quickly press left trigger to throw a grenade and hopefully sticky your opponent, so that even if you die, you still get a kill.
When camouflaged, move slowly, gently pressing the thumbstick, so that you don't alert anyone with your shimmer or your movement dot on the radar
If you are playing CTF or oddball, you can use the flag or the skull to score a mêlée kill
If you are a gunner on someone else's warthog and there's another warthog heading for you, aim for their gunner as they can kill your driver leaving you a sitting duck
Finally, this isn't a gameplay tip, but a social one. Be polite to other players, don't swear at them or shout at them. Youll find its easier to make friends and you will enjoy yourself, remember, it's only a game, if you feel stressed out by it, come off and just relax.
