Gun is one of the best western games I've ever played. This game grabs your
attention in the very beginning with an enriched plot. The story focuses
on a guy named Cole who is a hunter living in the boonies of Montana. One
day while he and his father, Ned, are out tracking some game things take
a turn for the worst. Upon boarding a steamboat, the vessel is attacked
by a pack of savage men who would like nothing more than to cleave Cole's
skull in two. After a lot of shooting and killing our protagonist is cast
into the river when the ship blows up , but before that can happen Neg gives
him an object and drops the bomb that he's not his real father. Naturally
Cole is confused and since his only clue is to head to Dodge City, that's
where your journey starts. With wonderful dialogue and a sense of mystery
this game just comes alive.
It comes across with a feeling of Grand Theft Auto in the way it's done
but it is a gritty western tale. You really feel like you're on an open
range with lots of freedom to explore. The action in this game is incredible
when you aren't killing Indians or having a shootout with outlaws you're
going to be doing a lot of running around and riding on a horse looking
for something to do. The story is broken down into various missions as
Cole seeks to uncover the truth behind Ned's mystery. One mission in this
game is to break yourself and three other outlaws out of jail blow up a
building as distraction so you all can make a run for it. This game takes
you into the world of a cowboy in the old west.
Another reason why GUN gives you that GTA feeling is the option that if
you get bored you can stop to deliver mail at the Pony Express, become the
deputy, or even lend a hand to a rancher in need. These side missions gives
you extra money to buy upgrades. You can even mine for gold in this game.
GUN gives you hours of gameplay. The graphics in this game is great very
detailed. It looks like a Clint Eastwood movie. The voice acting added
some Hollywood quality using Kris Kristofferson, Ron Perlman, and Thomas
Jane as the voice actors. This is a big adventure solid action game. I
recommend every gamer to play GUN. You'll love it.
It\'s fun maybe that\'s what makes it fun?
