Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 or G.R.A.W. 2 is the stunning sequel to the games predecessor Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter. With the first game being a great hit on the markets, there was much anticipation for G.R.A.W. 2. Following will be a review of each category of the game, starting with the story:
Story
The campaign in Ghost Recon 2 is phenomenal. You play as Captain Scott Mitchell who is making another appearance in this game from the first game. It turns out there is still more rebel uprising in Mexico and there's word that nuclear warheads are being transported, meaning a big threat to the U.S. and you must lead your 3 man team in to stop the rebels. The game's story mixed with spectacular and almost cinematic graphics makes this game even more enjoyable.
Gameplay
The gameplay in Ghost Recon 2 is pretty solid. This game is played in third person and you use your Cross - Com that is displayed on the top left of your HUD to control your team and move them to different positions. You can also choose from riflemen to gunners to even snipers on your team. All have their own strengths and weaknesses but when the correct selection of a team you will see more success on the battlefield. There is also a cover system; just walk right up to a wall and Mitchell will hide behind the piece of cover. He can poke his head out and peek around corners then pull his gun up and shoot. Then to simply get off of cover you just move the analog stick away from the cover. It is a great mechanic in the game and makes the game even more exciting and tactical.
Multiplayer
The multiplayer in Ghost Recon 2 is one of my favorite parts of the game. The variety of game types consists of standard team deathmatches to solo deathmatches and also co-op gamplay variants like co-op territories. In this gametype, players have one territory to defend from rebels who storm the territory and you must hold it until time runs out. With the great graphics, this makes the multiplayer feel even more like you're on the real frontlines fighting with your squad in a tactical environment.
Overall this game is an excellent choice to buy and you'll love this game and will come back to play it over and over again.
