Crysis
is a game created by Crytek. It is a first person shooter (fps) for the computer. This game is compatible for
Windows XP and Windows Vista. Its rated M for mature.
Parents beware, this is a violent game, but it has some nice options used to make the game appropriate for your child.
One of the options in the game is blood. Blood can be turned on and off. If you do know wish for you child to see
any blood or guts then you can turn it off when you want. As far as language this is hard to avoid. There is plenty of vulgarity throughout the whole game. One way to lower this a bit is to play the game at the hardest level. The bad guys
speak Korean to one another making the chances of them swearing lower. They use the F word in the game, so watch
out for you child.
The game itself isn't as bad as others that you can find. Although alien shooters are nice that you aren't generally killing humans, this game does have plenty of humans to kill. The good thing is that it isn't an absolute slaughter house. When you
kill someone there may be a little blood or none if the setting is off and you can't do anything like pick up the dead bodies and throw them around. As far as fear goes the game isn't quite scary.
You child most like won't feel the need to turn away from the screen. The game is mostly during day light and the darkness that is in the game isn't too dark. Even so the bad guys don't look very scary. Some actually just look silly.
So should you get this for your child?
I would say if you child has already played plenty of shooter games or if they are already familiar and understand the inappropriateness of the language, then they should definitely get this game. The game itself is very fun and exciting and has a very interesting story line. If you don't like your child to hear bad language, or play a shooter game then I would not get this for them.
If you wanna tell them they can't have it but don't want to upset them just tell them it won't work on the computer you own. More than likly this is true for the game requires a graphically genius computer to run.
Hope you make the right choice for your child.
