Maps aaa - Little maps which resemble the maps aim made by the French team called “Against all authority”.
Maps aim – Little maps, where the only uses one or 2 types of weapon (most often Ak-47 or M4)
Maps as – means assassination, one ct is the vip, the other cts must protect the vip from the terrorists until the exit, if the vip dies, the terrorists win.
Maps awp – little maps which the only weapon is the sniper
Maps cs – the terrorists must guard the hostages, and the cts must save and bring them to a certain point.
Maps de – Means defuse. The Terrorists must plant the bomb in a certain location, the cts must stop that, if they can plant it, the cts must defuse it before the bomb explodes.
Maps dm or fy – Means deathmatch or frag yard. Little maps, where all sorts of weapons are on the ground
Maps fun – little Entertainment funny or stupid maps
Maps es – Means escape. The terrorists must run away from the cts, if a terrorist is cached, he becomes ct.
Maps fm or fmx – Maps created buy a guy with the nickname “flying martini”, maps very little identical to fun maps, where players encounter immediately, the strategy is to be the more faster shooting as possible.

Maps sp – Means speed strike. Maps to 2vs2 or 3vs3 battles only, not a frequent type of map played on the servers.
Maps st- Means stupid. Maps where players do the most stupid things like jump off a mountain an hit a small lake or something like that.
Maps surf – maps where players stand over small triangular platforms.
Maps xc – maps only for cs: source, identical to kz type
Maps zm – only for condition zero and for source, where one player is the zombie, and he must contaminated the other players with his knife, wins the last survivor
Maps sj – Means soccer jam. Map with the shape of a football field, the objective is to score with a ballon on the adversary field.
