Call of Duty Four

A review on a First Person Shooter game for DS.

If you've ever played Metroid Prime on DS, this game is very similar, so if you enjoyed Metriods then I really recommend buying this game. The graphics are brilliant for the DS, although if you want to play this game at it's full extent I suggest buying it for the PC. It's a lot easier game-play on the PC and the graphics are better, the only downside is that it's not portable.

There is numerous ways to play the game, but the game play for this DS game, same as on Metroids, is very hard. The DS shouldn't have been made GBA style, for games like this it's too hard to play. With one hand you have to walk and shoot, with the other you have to use the touch screen to do everything besides walking and shooting. The touch is used for changing weapons, picking up weapons, turning, aiming, zooming, etc.

Quite annoying and makes it very hard to stay comfortable whilst playing the game. I'm not sure if it's a glitch but it will lag before shooting if you use L to shoot then change to R or the other way around. Make sure you always shoot with one button, if you move with the ABXY buttons, use the R button to shoot. If you move with the arrow keys, use the L button to shoot.

I seriously thought I'd never see this game on DS, but here it is. If you enjoy games like Halo, 007, etc, on the Xbox / Playstation consoles, then you will definitely enjoy this game, and as I already said, obviously the DS version is portable. ;) If you're sick of games like Mario Party and Mario Kart then you can now impress your friends with a hardcore shooting game!

The multi-player is much better if they have the game but there is DS Download play. I don't recommend playing DS download play on this game unless you have at least two other people playing along with yourself, otherwise the two levels to choose from with no weapon pick-ups or anything will be very boring.

The game is rated PG for violence but if you're old and mature enough, this game has a lot of interesting fighting styles. If you don't already know about call of duty, it's based on the army, (Which you can tell from the game cover. :P) and they've included a lot of things in the game, Disarming bombs, igniting bombs, dropping bombs, air strikes, sniping, missiles and a lot more to look forward to when buying the game.

It should be quite easy to find, it should be in your local gaming store. If you've only just bought a DS and want a new game, this is one I strongly recommend for people who enjoy games like this, there was rumours of a Halo DS but I feel that I can safely say that there was a Halo DS, but it has been cancelled and will not be released, so buy Call of Duty 4 instead.
