Call of Duty Four Review

Review of Call of Duty Four.

Call of Duty has come a long way since its earlier versions. The latest version, number four includes many features such as a great campaign, online play, a ranking system and much more. The game has also taken a great step on the graphical side, textures, effects, and virtually all graphics have improved greatly.

The game was first introduced on the 5th of November 2007, and during its first day of sale it sold 28,000 copies of the game, at a price ranging between £40-£45 GBP. Many shops had sold out of the game, and were asking for more copies.

During game play, the campaign features 21 short to medium missions, which are split up into five parts, Prologue, Act I, Act II, Act III, and the Epilogue. The user also has a choice of four difficulty levels, each one getting harder and more challenging.

When the player is finished, or decides not to play the campaign, online play is available to all systems. Online play features a total of 20 maps, although 4 of them have to be purchased for around £6-£8.50 for the whole package. There are 6 different game modes available, which each have a different objective in the game, from killing everyone in the game, to capture the flag. And if that's not enough, every time a player plays a game, he will receive experience points. These go towards your rank, and there are a total of 55 ranks to achieve. The higher your rank, the more weapons, weapon add-ons, and features are available to you. When a player reaches level 55, the game is not yet over, as they may choose to enter prestige mode, which resets the rank back to one, and gives the player a different badge next to their name, showing other players that they have the experience. Players can prestige ten times in total. There are also challenges available, which will unlock new gun features, the player may have to make headshots with a specific gun, be in a prone position when he makes the kill, or even kill through a wall. Other things are also available to unlock through challenges, such as new camouflage for your gun, golden guns, red dot sights and much more!

The game features truly amazing content, enough to satisfy the many thousands of gamers who take place in the online community each day. Call of Duty 5 is set to be released during the early days of winter, although it won't be a surprise if it is delayed to the early months of 2009.
