Assassin's Creed is the most intensive third-person stealth game ever created which is set somewhere in the year 2012. Assassin's Creed was released worldwide in November 2007 on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game is based on the Third Crusade. The developers claim that the environments are historically accurate. As for the PC version of this game, the game will be released sometime in early 2008.
Players take the role of Desmond Miles or “Altair”, an average bartender who is the last descendent of a long family line of assassins. The primary goal of this game is to complete 9 assassinations or kills and must use everything they know to achieve these goals. To achieve this goal, the player must use stealth and a variety of intelligence gathering tactics to collect information on their target. These tactics include eavesdropping, forceful interrogation, pick pocketing, and completing tasks for Informers (other assassins who will give you information in exchange for assassinating targets or collecting flags.) The player, as they complete the assigned assassinations, will also gain either new weapons or new combat skills including counter-attacks and attack dodges. Besides his fists, Altair's weaponry includes an assassin's sword for standard combat, a short blade, and throwing knives, which are used in conjunction with the short blade. Altair also gains the use of a hidden retractable blade on his left arm that can be used for killing targets at close quarters without creating any immediate alerts.
This game is based on some historical facts for example, the nine men assassinated were based on real people that lived in the Holy Land around the year 1191. As for the graphics of this game, they are as if you were living in the game itself. When you assassinate someone you can see their blood just dripping or splattering, but it all matters how you assassinate that person. Also the buildings and the faces are complex and you can see every peace of detail that you would see in real life. You will also see as Altair steps through ponds and small rivers, and if the player swims through lakes you will see ripples and many droplets as there would be in real life.
For those players who like cheating through the games, there really are no cheats for this game. So players will have to play this game fair and square, although there are hints in this game that can help you out. If you want the Eagle's Eye you will have to kill 75 guards by throwing knives. Also if you want the Eagle's Prey you will have to assassinate 100 guards. There are many more hints for this game.
