A Plethora of PC Games Blabber from a Self-Proclaimed-Ungamer

OK, so I really just didn’t have an idea of how to classify this stuff I’m writing on. It’s basically all about games I have (and wish to have) on my PC, and then some... from the much-anticipated to the mundane, here’s a list.

Starcraft II promises to be “The ultimate competitive real-time strategy game” as was enjoyed by its predecessor Starcraft. From the hype provided by Blizzard on the game (multiplayer innovations, cut-scene quality graphics, etc.) This is indeed a game to watch out for.

Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and its expansion The Frozen throne have been around for awhile, but the game simply rules and still battles it out with newer titles. The reason why? Its innovative map creator and game engine have spawned (and is still spawning) hundreds of spin-offs and varieties on the original story mode of the game. Think DOTA, Moomoo, and all the other downloadable maps, some of which have been accepted as official games in Blizzard's annual tournaments. Could Starcraft II come up with something this huge? Who can tell...

Minigames and indie games from various sites on the net still provide cheap thrills and could be downright addictive at times. Though most offer time based “Trial” versions which provide a preview of the full games, some (er, unscrupulous) sites offer hacked versions of these games for free. Still, the legit versions are relatively cheap and are guaranteed to be safe from potential hazards (viruses, worms, etc) which could harm your pc.

Here's a Small List of These Sites:

Reflexivearcade.com

This site offers a lot of games in different genres, from platform games to action games, word games and the like. I find the seek-and-find games particularly engrossing 

King.com

This site has a lot of online mini-games, and prizes are up for grabs for their premium members. You can still pay for free, but no prizes.

Yahoo!Games

One of the more popular online gaming sites. Also has a lot of games which allow you to compete with other online gamers. Also offers free trial versions.

Miniclip.com

lots of mini-games built on flash. Go here if you want a quick dose of fun.

Some sites ask for your email address. I suggest that you create a separate account from your business mail account. Click here to make one right now!

MMORPG's like World of WarCraft (okay, so I'm a blizzard fan), Guild Wars and Eve Online allow you to build your own characters and interact with other gamers. Ah, who hasn't played one? Kidding. I just wish I had time to play one of these...

Emulated Handheld and Console games allow you to go back to the old days when SF and MK were all the rage on your pc or catch that elusive pokemon while on your phone. How? The answer's with Google . Yes, it is possible, Go find 'em!
