Microsoft will not sit still during the launch of the PlayStation 3 in November. Next to hitting the market with a number of new accessories such as a HD-DVD-player, a wireless headset and a camera, Microsoft will also release a large number of new games for its game console the Xbox 360.
Microsoft has confirmed that about a hundred new games will be available in stores before Christmas. This will make the total number of Xbox 360 games come to a number of 160. The new titles have been produced mainly by external game developers; Microsoft has developed four to five games. The games that are hitting the market before Christmas are such as Splinter Cell 4 and Gears of War .
Price discounts as a reaction to the introduction of the PlayStation 3 are however not expected, according to Microsoft-co-worker David McLean.
