Let's face it; older games aren't out of the picture completely. With downloadable games being made for the latest consoles, it has brought it back to a medium and can be used to appeal to older games capturing a segment that still prefers older games over the newer more graphically sounded games. I had bought the Xbox 360 and found some great usage out of it and looking at the xBox Live Arcade. It would be expected to focus on the games that are coming out for the 360 and not have to download them. It would be wise to have one with a decent sized hard drive.
The Simpsons Arcade: Remember back in the early 90s when this came out? To be specific, it's the Arcade Version of the game. You had nonstop action and enemies out to get you. Like many Arcade games, this one is challenging. There have been many Simpsons games but none can compare to this.
NFL Blitz: This is what you get when you combine Pro Wrestling and the NFL together. No penalties and it's No Holds Barred football. Sure, it wasn't the best looking but did that really matter? Graphics should never be the focal point of buying a game. You had hard and fast pace action. Even better with the idea of doing whatever you please and not get in trouble like you would in the NFL.
Marvel vs. Capcom: The first of its kind and much like an All Star game that consists of characters created by both Marvel and Capcom. This game itself was different for its time and you didn't see too many games that would have an All Star cast in a fighting game. Most of them consisted of being games like Mortal Kombat and didn't have crossovers. Whether this is considered a prelude to what would see with Nintendo doing Super Smash Bros. or not is up for debate.
Marvel vs. Capcom 2: Just as good as the first one, this game actually adds some new characters. Personally, I like to use Mega Man and find him pretty easy to control. The game is like the first one and while it doesn't have much of a story mode, it is however fun to play and that's what the games are intended to be.
For me, the Xbox 360 has one feature I like the most and that's the Xbox Live Arcade. It's like going back to a degree and playing older classic games. It doesn't need to have enhanced graphics but just retain the enjoyable factor portion of it. These are merely a small list of games on the Arcade level that I would personally like to see make the move to go to the 360.
