Since the successful release of the Nintendo Wii in November, us fans have been waiting for the Wii Play title. Released February 12th, it comes packed with 9 new games that take full advantage of the Wii Remote technology, and it comes bundles with a Remote!
As per Nintendo s Official Website, the game “will test the physical and mental reflexes of players of all ages.” It includes the following games:
Shooting Range
Inspired by the well-received Duck Hunt, you must shoot the targets to accumulate points. A cool thing about it, you can play a one-player game with two remotes! Talk about the Wild West!
Pose Mii
Bubbles featuring your Mii's silhouette show up on the screen. Pose your Mii to match the silhouette to op the bubble. Sounds silly, but let me tell you, it will challenge your skills.
Table Tennis
Exactly, Ping-pong! Unlike Tennis on Wii sports, there's no need to swing, just point the remote to move the paddle. The trick here is that you can make the ball change direction by moving the remote while hitting the ball.
Laser Hockey
Yup! If you play air hockey at the arcade, you will love this game. This is Pong on steroids. Point the remote and just move the paddle. This time you can twist the remote to change the direction in which your paddle is facing.
Tanks
Just like Tanks in Atari. Go through a maze destroying the enemy with your rounds as well as mines.
Fish
No reeling, just cast your hook on the right spot and hook your fish. Catch the bonus fish and get more points.
Charge (Cow racing)
Get on the cow and race. Knock over as many scarecrows as possible as you go along. Boy I wish Zelda's horse could move like this!
Billiards
Play pool. But don't think this is a 2D version looking from a blimp. No siree, 3D, and you can aim the same way you would in real life. If you're not careful, you'll never go back to a smoke filled pool hall.
Find Mii
Where's Waldo anyone?? But this is better. They move, and they hide, and the higher the level the harder it is to find them. Play two player and you find out real quickly how good you are (or aren't)
All of the games have a two-player mode, so everyone can enjoy. The only downfall of the game is the lack of more than two player game modes.
