After writing a few articles about Wii Accessories, I realized the Wii controllers have enough accessories to deserve their own article. For all of you gamers out there who need that little extra, here's a few accessories to make your game play more “realistic”, or at the very least more entertaining.
Racing Wheel
If you like racing games (I know I do) this is a must have. This thing turns your Wii remote into a steering wheel, giving you a better feel during the racing action. Certain games came bundled with it, GT Pro Series being one of them. The bundled up version actually breaks down into 3 pieces, while the ones bought separately are one piece.
Wii Sports Pack
Included in this package, are a tennis racket, a golf club, and a baseball bat. As the name suggests, this package is designed around the Wii Sports game bundled up with the Wii. Your Wii remote snaps into the specific “head” allowing for proper angle, as well as a realistic feel for the game.
Although the golf club feels awkward, mostly due to its size, the other two feel pretty natural. They are smaller than the real thing but they provide more “realism” than the Wii remote by its lonesome.
Controller Skins
Made by a few manufacturers, these things make your Wii remotes a little flashy. The are made of non-slip material, preventing those infamous accidents and broken TVs. I personally have them in every color, and yes, even the pink one for the little lady's Wii remote.
The only downside to these is that they cover the battery cover, making it a little difficult to change batteries. This becomes a hassle when you play enough to have to change batteries more than once a day. Yes, I need to get a life.
Wii Blaster
This is the name given by one manufacturer to their controller cradle shaped like what it seems to be a shotgun. The piece is inspired by the upcoming Duck Hunt game for the Wii. This unit is not available until June, but can be preordered.
That is all...
For now that is. All of these accessories, and more, can be found at your local ebgames or gamestop, and many even at Wal-Mart. I am not sponsoring one or the other, but hey, what good is it to know about something if you don't know where to get it.
