Nintendo Wii Accessories - Part 2

More and more accessories become available for the Wii. Get to know a few of them.

Many accessories have become available for the Wii in the past few months. Some of them are very useful while other, well, to each his own. Here is a list of a few of those accessories to make your life easier.

Wii Charge Station

I saw this one just the other day. It is a docking station that holds two Wii remotes. It includes 2 sets of rechargeable batteries, and a custom-made battery cover. The cover is rubberized on the outside, helping those who can't hold on to the Wii remote. It also has a small hole that exposes the charging contacts on the batteries.

The Wii remotes sit on the stand, and get recharged. Definitely a must buy, if your current batteries spend more time on the charger than inside the Wii remote. That, my friends, is the case in my house. That unit is obviously on my list, and would have it if the store wasn't sold out when I found out about it.

Did I mention it will help keep your Wii remotes neatly organized?

Coolers

Many of these available, but two come to mind right away. The one is a stand that has a fan. Very useful if you normally keep your Wii standing upright. The other one is designed to blow air through the Wii when laying flat.

These units are recommended for those who have the WiiConnect24 turned on. Some units tend to get warm to the touch when the connection is on. Also recommended for those of us who keep the console in a rather small area, with little airflow.

WiFi/USB Adapter

Very useful little piece if you don't have a wireless router. The USB interface plugs into your computer and allows for wireless connection of your Wii. Very convenient if you ask me, considering the Wii can receive updates through the internet connection, not to mention how cool the internet channel is. This connection also allows you to connect to the Shopping Channel to get your Virtual Console games.

LAN Adapter

If you don't trust WiFi, or you simply can't connect, then this is for you. Is a cable connection from your Wii, to your router. It connects to the Wii's USB port, and then to the router allowing for fast transfers and connection to the internet.
