Phantom

This system was so bad it was never even released, making it a bit ironic being named as such, supposedly, this system would get its games off of the internet, instead of discs or cartridges. Seemed like a good idea at the time, but eventually, after the release date was moved further, and further back, the whole idea was scrapped. N-Gage

This hand-held system had some obvious and superficial problems, the screen was tall and skinny, contrary to popular design, and although it was made for convenience, it was still rather inconvenient in its uses, and was never really good for much. Virtual Boy

The idea of this system was a good idea, but never good in practice, health issues, such as neck strain, disorientation and headaches, and awful controls lead to the downfall of this system. 3DO

Costing an outrageous $700 and having few worthwhile games, this system could hardly be described as, “worth the price”. Sega Genesis Add-Ons

By making add-ons for interactive movies, which were downright awful, this system dug it's own grave by creating the add-ons to its already existing system, the CDX and 32X completely failed. Jaguar

This system had some annoying problems such as a terrible processor and ludicrous controller design, it was more like poking a brick than playing a game Phillips CDi

Looking more like a VCR than a game console, and having a remote control-like controller the appalling and almost saddening excuses for games that were released could only hurt this already failing game system. Atari 5200

Having one of the worst controllers we've seen yet, this console might as well have bee made of glass as its controller couldn't even handle the lightest gaming sessions R-Zone

This virtual reality system was just another reminder of the virtual boy. Gameplay was awful, and the optional headgear was one of the most ridiculous appliances to ever follow-up the sega add-ons. Gizmondo

with terrible games, ridiculous prices and features useless to a game system it is no wonder to me why this system made it to the top of the gametrailers worst-game-consoles-ever, countdown, while it had the features of an ipod, like music, movie, and picture storage, as well as the ability to covert into a camera, it seems amusing how much of a crash it took.
If it were up to me, I think the ps3 should be on here somewhere, mainly because of the oversized pricetag and lack of outstanding games, the extremely realistic gameplay is all that's keeping it afloat, personally, I think that they just need more time to come out with more stuff to do on it, and ways to make it cost less. This countdown, and all of the systems mentioned were conceived by gametrailers, although most of the things I said were my own opinion, I hope this has been helpful in telling you what systems to buy.
